Singer Kim Da-hyun has been appointed as the promotional ambassador for the '2025 Yeongdong World Traditional Music Expo.'
Kim Da-hyun received an ambassador appointment certificate from Jung Young-cheol, the mayor of Yeongdong County, Chungcheongbuk-do, on the 24th. The '2025 Yeongdong World Traditional Music Expo' will be held from September 12 to October 11 at the Yeongdong Rainbow Healing Tourist Area and the traditional music experience village.
Jung Young-cheol, the mayor who serves as the co-chair of the expo's organizing committee, said, "Kim Da-hyun, who is conducting global activities based on traditional music, is the right person to be an ambassador for this event, which will feature performers from over 30 countries. I ask that she engage in extensive promotional activities."
Starting from the age of 4, Kim Da-hyun has excelled in various institutional sectors of traditional music, including trot, pansori, folk songs, gayageum, haegeum, janggu, buk, and Korean dance. She has gained much love as the 'Traditional Music Trot Fairy' through competitions like MBN's 'Voice Trot,' TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2,' and MBN's 'Korea-Japan Singing Contest.'
Kim Da-hyun, appointed as the ambassador for the '2025 Yeongdong World Traditional Music Expo,' is expected to engage in various activities in the Yeongdong region, both for pre-event promotional activities and throughout the event period. Additionally, she has promised to be the first purchaser of admission tickets worth 3 million won, coinciding with the pre-sale schedule starting from April 1, and has decided to donate all purchased tickets.
Kim Da-hyun stated, "As an ambassador, I participated in the donation because I hope that marginalized groups, who find it difficult to enjoy cultural activities, will have various cultural experiences. I will work harder to promote the expo widely."
