Sam Hammington empathized with a listener suffering psychological distress due to infertility and miscarriage, showing tears.
On the broadcast of MBC Standard FM's 'Women's Era with Yang Hee-eun and Kim Il-jung' on the 25th, Sam Hammington appeared as a guest and had a moment to respond to listeners' stories.
Sam Hammington revealed, "(I also) went through in vitro fertilization for both (of my children)" and shared the behind-the-scenes of the births of his sons William and Bentley.
Sam Hammington confessed, "Everyone usually doesn't know, but after Bentley was born, I wanted to have a third child, so I did in vitro fertilization 10 times. Honestly, I faced a lot of stress and experienced many failures, and I went through a miscarriage as well."
A story from a female viewer who suffered difficulties due to infertility, including natural conception and in vitro fertilization, was presented. The listener, who experienced a miscarriage during this process, reported suffering from psychological stress and expressed concerns about whether to give up on pregnancy.
Hearing this, Sam Hammington shed tears, empathizing with the listener's pain, drawing attention.
Sam Hammington said, "(I have) experienced various things. There have been moments while filming when I talked and visited the hospital. It's not difficult for a man, but it's hard for a woman. Just watching is painful, and I also feel a great sense of guilt."
He added, "Every time we went to the hospital, I expected to hear good news, but it was heartbreaking when that didn't happen. That was extremely tough. I think it must also be difficult for the doctors. They try to do good things, but it's not easy to deliver bad news."
