Actress Moon Ga-young conveyed her thoughts upon completing 'My Dearest Nemesis.'
The tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'My Dearest Nemesis' ended on the 24th, and Moon Ga-young, who passionately portrayed the role of Baek Soo-jung, sent a warm final greeting through her agency. In the last episode, Baek Soo-jung overcame her dark past with her first love, 'Black Flame,' and embraced each other's wounds with Ban Joo-hyun (Choi Hyun-wook), leaving viewers with smiles and emotional resonance as they enjoyed a sweet happy ending.
Moon Ga-young said, “I was glad and happy to meet with the viewers after a long time. The time from filming to airing wasn’t short, but it felt like it went by very quickly, so I have a lot of regret. I also enjoyed watching it every week, and it was a happy time thanks to the many supports.”
Moon Ga-young, who has beauty, atmosphere, and acting skills, proved her irreplaceable presence once again by creating another legendary character through this work.
The charm of the flawless 'Goddess' character Baek Soo-jung was maximized by Moon Ga-young's seasoned acting. From her comic performances with standout pacing to the romance portrayed with deep gazes and delicate emotions, she heightened the immersion in the drama and ramped up the excitement to its peak. In particular, praise followed for depicting an older-younger romance that was “executed effectively.”
Additionally, Moon Ga-young's visuals and impeccable styling captured attention in every episode, enhancing the enjoyment of the drama. From high school girl outfits to fantasy historical drama costumes in video games to a professional's daily look, she flawlessly embodied a variety of styles, drawing admiration in every scene.
Regarding the character Baek Soo-jung, Moon Ga-young shared, “I hoped viewers could feel refreshment and coolness through Soo-jung. She takes action to solve difficult problems at work without holding back and communicates directly without beating around the bush. However, even though Soo-jung seems strong, she was a character with loneliness and wounds somewhere in her heart, so I focused on expressing how she overcomes that pain and matures and grows through Joo-hyun.”
Baek Soo-jung, who delivered numerous iconic lines and memorable scenes, resonated greatly with the viewers. Moon Ga-young noted, “The line, ‘Being able to passionately like something is a precious thing. So, please like it to your heart's content’ stands out in my memory. I think it reflects the message of our drama well.”
Finally, she expressed her heartfelt greetings to the viewers, saying, “I believe that liking something or someone is truly a precious thing, just like the affection for the work and the character. I hope you feel greater happiness by sharing and enjoying what you love with the people who cherish it. I will greet you with another good work. Thank you for loving 'My Dearest Nemesis' and Soo-jung until now.”
Meanwhile, Moon Ga-young, who opened the doors to 2025 with 'My Dearest Nemesis,' is expected to continue her active activities throughout the year. In the new tvN drama 'Seocho-dong,' she takes on the role of rookie attorney Kang Hee-ji, challenging her first attorney character and hinting at another transformation in acting. She is also preparing to meet audiences on the screen with the upcoming film 'A Long Time Later' (tentative title).
