Kim Soo-hyun's highly anticipated first public appearance at a fan meeting in Taiwan has ultimately been canceled.

On the 25th, the Taiwan Seven-Eleven announced via its official social media that the fan meeting scheduled for the 30th has been canceled.

Taiwan Seven-Eleven stated, "Due to a scheduling change for Kim Soo-hyun, the 'Kim Soo-hyun fan exclusive gathering' scheduled to take place during the Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival on the 30th has been canceled." The organizers plan to fully refund the ticket prices.

However, other than Kim Soo-hyun's absence, the Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival is still expected to proceed as planned. The organizers noted that those who present a winning ticket will be able to attend the live activities and performances at the cherry blossom festival free of charge.

In connection with this, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, stated to OSEN, "For safety reasons, Kim Soo-hyun's brand event schedule in Taiwan has been postponed."

Earlier, the family of the late Kim Sae-ron claimed through the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" (abbreviated as "Gaseyeon") that the deceased and actor Kim Sae-ron had been in a relationship for six years since she was 15 years old, and asserted that despite facing financial difficulties following the deceased's DUI traffic accident in 2022, they pressured her to repay the 700 million won borrowed to cover the accident.

In response, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, acknowledged that Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun were indeed in a relationship, but clarified that they dated from the summer of 2019, when Kim Sae-ron became an adult, until the fall of 2020, and that the legal documentation was merely part of a process for handling damages from Kim Sae-ron's DUI accident and did not involve any actual demand for repayment.

Despite this, the controversy did not subside, and local fans have strongly demanded refunds. The organizers stated that there was "no change in plans" regarding Kim Soo-hyun's attendance; however, the fan meeting was ultimately canceled.

In particular, according to local industry sources, if the event is canceled, the cancellation fee alone is estimated to be 30 million yuan (approximately 13.227 billion won). With the cancellation of the event, attention is drawn to whether Kim Soo-hyun's side will actually have to pay this cancellation fee.

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun's upcoming project, Disney+ 'Knock-Off,' has also been hindered. The Disney+ new drama 'Knock-Off,' starring Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-ah, was preparing for its production announcement aimed for release in April; however, continued revelations about Kim Soo-hyun have led to a postponement of its release.

'Knock-Off' tells the story of a man whose life is completely turned upside down due to the IMF, transforming from an ordinary employee into a kingpin of the global counterfeit market, and was previously expected to be released in the first half of the year following the currently released 'Hyper Knife'.
