NCT member Mark (affiliated with SME) opens his era brightly with the new song '1999.'

Mark's first solo album 'The Firstfruit' will be released on April 7 at 6 p.m. across various music sites, featuring a total of 13 tracks, including the title song '1999,' composed of four sections based on cities where Mark has left his traces, such as Toronto, New York, Vancouver, and Seoul.

In particular, the title track '1999' is a pop genre song that creates a lively atmosphere with its grand orchestration and funky guitar sounds, brass sessions, whistling, and a variety of instrumental sounds, allowing listeners to experience a fresh charm from Mark that has not been seen before, as he transitions fluidly between tight rap and falsetto singing.

The lyrics express the joy of this moment when he is bearing the first fruit of his solo album, as if he were welcoming the year 1999, the year he was born, and his ambition to become an artist who adorns the close of the century, having been born in the final year of the century.

Additionally, this title track has been placed in the Toronto section, which tells the story of Mark's beginnings, and since Mark personally wrote the lyrics and composed the song, it is sufficient to confirm the color of Mark as a solo artist.

Today (25th), the concept images for 'Mark' opened on NCT's official SNS accounts capture Mark's true self in a pure yet iconic way, receiving positive responses.

Mark will hold a showcase to commemorate the release of his first solo album at the Seongsu Cultural Arts Venue FB Theater on the 7th of next month at 8 p.m., where he will premiere the stage for the title track '1999.'
