Actress Kim Soo-yeon is active as a "visual thief," continuously appearing in hot shows.
When watching her act, there is a rookie actress who sparks the curiosity of "Who is that actress?" The rookie Kim Soo-yeon has shown her remarkable character portrayal even in small roles in this year's most anticipated Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines" and Disney+'s original series "Hyperknife."
Kim Soo-yeon appeared as Min-seon, IU's friend, in "When Life Gives You Tangerines," and performed as a "friend you would want to have." Kim Soo-yeon perfectly depicted the carefree and loyal "Cider" character, gaining the viewers' affection.
Kim Soo-yeon naturally blended the subtle relationship with friends that anyone can relate to into her performance. She perfectly portrayed a bold character who firmly maintains her stance among friends feeling inferiority and jealousy towards IU's character.
On the other hand, in "Hyperknife," she showed her presence once again in the role of pharmacist Yeong-sin, which is 180 degrees different from her previously portrayed character. While being friendly to customers, she displayed a cold demeanor towards the criminal creating a rough atmosphere, proving her acting skills with the protagonist Park Eun-bin through a "tiki-taka" chemistry.
Previously, Kim Soo-yeon portrayed detective Yeong-gi-eun, who encountered a murderer in her debut Netflix series "Somebody," and she is currently showcasing different charms in two works, bringing freshness to the drama.
She has finely integrated her expressions and speech into the character, building a sense of familiarity with the audience through a new side not shown in previous roles.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo-yeon, who appears in "When Life Gives You Tangerines," is set for its final release on the 28th (Friday) on Netflix, while "Hyperknife" can be seen on Disney+ every Wednesday as an eight-part series.
