The second anniversary of guitarist Lim Chang-soo, who was active with the band Next in its second formation, has arrived.
March 25, 2025, marks the second anniversary of Lim Chang-soo's death. He died in a traffic accident in Vietnam on March 25, 2023, at the age of 54.
According to local media at the time, Lim Chang-soo was riding a motorcycle in Dalat, Lam Dong province, Vietnam, when he crashed into a utility pole and was transported to the hospital but died while receiving treatment.
The deceased's obituary was conveyed by composer and professor Kang Ho-jung. Professor Kang noted, "My beloved brother Lim Chang-soo passed away in a traffic accident while riding a motorcycle in Vietnam," eliciting feelings of sadness.
Professor Kang spoke of Lim Chang-soo, saying, "He was a very warm-hearted person. He always wanted to share warmth by looking into the eyes of his close friends. He was not someone who would leave like this. It's so regrettable. I love you and am grateful. Live comfortably there without worries. Hang out with (Shin) Hae-jul. See you again."
Meanwhile, the late Lim Chang-soo played on Next's second album "The Return Of N.EX.T Part I: The Being" and was active as a member of Next's second formation. Later, he established a computer sound equipment company and worked as an entrepreneur.
