Actors Ham Eun-jung, Seo Joon-young, Park Yoon-jae, and Lee Ga-ryung are set to take on daily drama domination through ‘The Queen’s House.’
The new KBS2 daily drama ‘The Queen’s House,’ scheduled to premiere in April (written by Kim Min-joo, directed by Hong Seok-goo and Hong Eun-mi, produced by Flying Entertainment and Ascendio), is a revenge drama about a woman who firmly believed in her perfect life but has it entirely ripped away.
‘The Queen’s House’ is a collaboration between director Hong Seok-goo, who has demonstrated delicate directing in works such as ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘O! Samkwang Villa!’; and director Hong Eun-mi, known for her sensuous direction in ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ ‘Pure Boxer,’ and ‘School 2021.’ Additionally, writer Kim Min-joo, who led the revival of daily dramas with ‘Golden Mask,’ ‘Tomorrow is Sunny,’ and ‘Shining Eun-soo,’ is expected to deliver an immersive viewing experience to audiences once again.
Moreover, actors Ham Eun-jung, Seo Joon-young, Park Yoon-jae, and Lee Ga-ryung complete a stellar lineup that greatly increases the anticipation of potential viewers.
First, Ham Eun-jung takes on the role of Kang Jae-in, the youngest Head of Team at YL Group. Jae-in was born into a family that everyone envies, but she dreams of a simple and ordinary life. After meeting her beloved husband through a friend's introduction, she builds the family she desires and spends her days happily. However, an unexpected event completely changes Jae-in's life. Ham Eun-jung, who has garnered much love for her captivating performances in ‘Lucky Me,’ ‘The Love Knot,’ and ‘Even If Deceived,’ sparks curiosity about her role in this production.
Seo Joon-young transforms into Kim Do-yoon, a chest surgeon and pride of Korean University Hospital. Do-yoon, who has a down-to-earth and easygoing personality, possesses a charm that puts others at ease, but his demeanor changes dramatically when he picks up a scalpel. After a shocking accident leads him to lose a precious person overnight, Do-yoon vows to take revenge. Viewer interest is piqued as Seo Joon-young, known for his deeply emotional performances in various works such as ‘Brave Yoon Soo-jung,’ ‘Gold is Ali,’ and ‘Heaven's Promise,’ is set to showcase a new side of himself in ‘The Queen’s House.’
Park Yoon-jae plays the role of Hwang Ki-chan, the husband of Jae-in and director of strategic planning at YL Group. Ki-chan has done his best to become a member of the YL Group family, but he often finds himself in conflict with his mother-in-law. This leads to a rift between him and Jae-in, resulting in an unbelievable set of events that will make the story more exciting. Curiosity arises about how Park Yoon-jae, who has expressed a variety of charms in works like ‘The Bride of the Typhoon,’ ‘Red Shoes,’ ‘Destiny, Be Careful!’ and ‘The Nameless Woman,’ will interpret the character of Hwang Ki-chan.
Lee Ga-ryung takes on the role of Kang Se-ri, Jae-in's best friend and designer in the planning and design team at YL Group. Se-ri, who has been intertwined with Jae-in since childhood, faces an unbelievable truth from her mother. Unlike Jae-in, who considers her a best friend, Se-ri harbors desires directed towards her. Attention is focused on the new presence Lee Ga-ryung, known for her powerful performances in ‘Marriage Lyrics and Divorce Composition,’ ‘Why Oh Soo-jae?,’ and ‘Sister Is Alive!,’ will showcase in this project.
The production team of ‘The Queen’s House’ stated, “With the addition of Ham Eun-jung, Seo Joon-young, Park Yoon-jae, and Lee Ga-ryung, we have completed a solid lineup.” They added, “The actors, each boasting unique charms, are expected to raise the overall quality of the work. We ask for your keen interest in the diverse synergy they will showcase.”
Meanwhile, KBS2's new daily drama ‘The Queen’s House’ will premiere in April as a follow-up to ‘Cinderella Game.’
