Actor Kim Soo-hyun's side has provided a statement regarding the cancellation of the fan meeting in Taiwan.
On the afternoon of the 25th, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, stated to OSEN, “Due to safety reasons, Kim Soo-hyun's brand event schedule in Taiwan has been postponed.”
Earlier that day, the Taiwan Seven-Eleven side announced through official social media that, “The fan meeting scheduled to be held during the Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival on the 30th is canceled.” The organizers plan to fully refund the tickets for the fan meeting.
Meanwhile, the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron claimed through the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" (abbreviated as "Gaseyeon") that the deceased dated actor Kim Sae-ron for six years starting from when she was 15 years old, and despite experiencing financial difficulty after the deceased halted activities following a drunk driving incident in 2022, they pressured her to repay the 700 million won borrowed to settle the accident.
In response, Gold Medalist stated that while it is true that Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun dated, they were in a relationship only from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, and that the legal documentation was merely a part of the process to handle the penalty related to Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving incident, and they have never actually demanded payment or pressured for repayment.
