The 'MZ wannabe icon' RAY decorated the cover of a Japanese fashion magazine, proving local popularity.
The well-known Japanese fashion magazine 'SPUR' recently unveiled the cover of the May 2025 issue and various photoshoots featuring RAY through its official website.
In the released cover, RAY exuded a Unick aura and captured attention. RAY perfectly styled a floral-patterned long dress and a wide-brimmed hat adorned with feathers, showcasing a visual that combined loveliness and elegance, causing admiration from viewers.
In another photoshoot, RAY's photogenic charm shone even brighter. Wearing a long dress, RAY gently lifted the hem, creating an elegant atmosphere, and in a shot wearing a pastel yellow mini dress, she emphasized the feather details of the sleeves and the dotted gloves while resting her chin on one hand.
Additionally, in a shot where she wore red-colored tights and heels, RAY sat on a chair, exuding a sensuous charm while gazing into the camera with deep eyes, completing her unique atmosphere. In response, 'SPUR' remarked, "Her natural expressiveness and the variety of expressions and poses with each concept were impressive."
In a joint interview, RAY discussed various topics under the themes of 'uniqueness' and 'being oneself'. While talking about her use of personal social media, RAY noted, "I originally liked expressing something. Fashion shoots are always enjoyable, and I even set a goal to decorate a solo cover by 2025, so I'm honored that it has been realized so quickly."
RAY, who debuted as a member of IVE in 2021, captured the public's heart with her lovely yet trendy charm. Having led many trends, such as the 'Kongsuni pose' and 'ribbon piece,' RAY is also receiving a lot of love with the recent song 'ATTITUDE,' particularly for the 'running guinea pig' challenge.
Popularity in Japan is also hot. IVE took the stage at 'Summersonic 2024,' Japan's largest music festival, and Japan's largest fashion festival, 'Tokyo Girls Collection,' and made headlines by entering the Tokyo Dome, known as the 'holy ground of Japanese performances'. Particularly at the Tokyo Dome, they held an encore of the first world tour 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE,' drawing in over 95,800 spectators over two days, proving their immense influence.
Thanks to this, IVE is set to hold fan concerts 'IVE SCOUT' in Seoul and Japan in April, where they'll meet with their fans, known as DIVE (official fan club name). RAY has also been selected as the MC for the first day of the 2nd 'ASIA STAR ENTERTAINER AWARDS 2025' on May 28 and 29, to be held at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama City, where she will shine.
Meanwhile, RAY's Unick charm captured in photoshoots and interviews can be found in the May issue of 'SPUR'.
