In 'My Little Old Boy,' Son Dam-bi mentioned her daughter, who resembles her husband Lee Gyu-hyeok, and shared her pregnancy story.
On the broadcast of 'My Little Old Boy' on the 23rd, Kim Hee-chul visited the newlywed home of his 23-year friend, Son Dam-bi.
Earlier, Son Dam-bi married Lee Gyu-hyeok, a former national speed skater, in May 2022. She later announced that she successfully became pregnant through in vitro fertilization, receiving congratulations from many netizens. The gender is reported to be female.
With her delivery approaching in April, Son Dam-bi unexpectedly revealed her clearly defined baby bump, causing Kim Hee-chul to exclaim, 'Is this for real?' and laugh. At that moment, Son Dam-bi said, 'It's sad; I am considered an advanced maternal age,' mentioning that she is expected to give birth at 43. 'My senior Choi Ji-woo gave birth at 46, which is a miraculous thing. I am thankful for my age; I feel lucky,' she stated.
Regarding the new life she conceived through in vitro fertilization, Son Dam-bi shared, 'Fortunately, it succeeded on the second attempt. I had to inject myself in the abdomen, and it really swelled up a lot.' She mentioned that initially, she failed the first procedure due to being underweight but succeeded after gaining weight on the second attempt. Son Dam-bi said, 'My husband cried from joy; the whole family was moved.'
At that moment, Lee Gyu-hyeok arrived home. While discussing the child, Kim Hee-chul joked, 'They say the first daughter resembles her father,' which made the two of them laugh. When Lee Gyu-hyeok said, 'I didn't know the gender; I thought it was a son at first,' Son Dam-bi replied, 'Then during the 3D ultrasound, the doctor said she resembles her father more than me.' Lee Gyu-hyeok burst into laughter, saying, 'My wife's face darkened; they say she is a daughter but resembles me. What can I do about it? She is my daughter, and she should look like me, not someone else.' He added, 'I have become the one to apologize; I feel like a sinner,' causing more laughter.
Creating an atmosphere, they surprisingly revealed a 3D ultrasound photo that closely resembles Lee Gyu-hyeok. Kim Hee-chul exclaimed, 'This looks just like you,' and remarked, 'The lips are Son Dam-bi's, and the nose is high,' adding, 'There is a mix, but it has a feeling of Gyu-hyeok.' When asked whom they hope the personality resembles, Son Dam-bi said, 'I hope she takes after her older brother,' and Kim Hee-chul joked, 'From what I see, that's not your personality,' which made everyone laugh.
The two of them, who have been married and never fought, shared their thoughts. Lee Gyu-hyeok commented, 'I end up being the one taking the blame. When married, the wife can do certain things, but there are things that I cannot do. I accepted it without repulsion,' and noted, 'If there is an opinion, it becomes tiring; it’s better to follow along.' Upon hearing this, Kim Hee-chul's mother joked, 'At this rate, my son will lose his desire to marry again,' which elicited laughter.
