(Following Interview①) Park Bo-gum shared his thoughts on 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'

On the 24th, an interview took place at the Conrad Seoul Hotel with the lead actor Park Bo-gum from the Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'

'When Life Gives You Tangerines' is a work that unfolds the adventurous life of a 'troublesome rebel' Ae-soon (played by IU) and 'the oblivious iron man' Gwan-sik (played by Park Bo-gum), born in the 1960s in Jeju, across the four seasons.

In the work, Park Bo-gum plays the younger version of the male protagonist Gwan-sik, showcasing the youthful and passionate love between Ae-soon and Gwan-sik in Act 1, and has received praise for being 'an unrealistically pure-hearted character.'

In response, Park Bo-gum noted, "Gwan-sik is a friend who acts before he speaks. He is quiet and reserved, but he is someone who gives his best effort in the tasks assigned to him. The way this character is written allows me to understand and express him without much difficulty."

He added, "While reading, I thought Gwan-sik was really cool, but I didn't think he was unrealistic. I thought that he might be someone we could meet in real life at least once. I also thought Gwan-sik is a friend who always expresses himself first. I wished, 'I’d like to have a friend like that,' and thought while acting, 'I’d like to become a person like that.' Furthermore, I hoped I could have a husband, a partner, or a friend like that."

When asked about his synchronization rate with Gwan-sik, Park Bo-gum replied, "About 70%." He added, "I love my family and I try to take care of my people. I think the way to express love for someone is similar. However, Gwan-sik doesn't express himself verbally in a bold manner, while I tend to try to speak more often."

In particular, when asked whether he wants to be a good husband like Gwan-sik or a good son, he jokingly responded, "I hope to be a good person."
