BABYMONSTER is making a strong impression with its overwhelming live skills during its Japan tour, receiving high praise from local music fans and maintaining a steep rise in popularity.
According to YG Entertainment, BABYMONSTER successfully completed the '2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR 'HELLO MONSTERS' IN AICHI' concert held on the 22nd and 23rd at Port Messe Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
Following the sold-out concert at Kanagawa Pia Arena MM on the 14th, 15th, and 16th, this is another consecutive sell-out. After attracting a total audience of 30,000 at the previous show, this time they opened limited-view seats, bringing in 24,000 over the two days and proving their strong local ticket power.
Having built a solid fandom through last year's fan meeting tour, the members' skills and the high completion level of their performances have created a buzz among local music fans. Since starting the tour, fans have continued to be impressed by their flawless performance of the complete setlist with handheld microphones.
Local music industry insiders are paying attention to BABYMONSTER's influence, which has captured not only the simple buzz but also mainstream appeal. Not only have existing K-pop listeners been drawn in, but there is also an increase in fans from various genres, showing high favorability across all age groups. This is interpreted as a success of YG's strategy to broaden engagement with the global market since their debut.
Thanks to the enthusiastic support, the scale of the tour is also continuing to expand. During this concert, BABYMONSTER surprisingly announced an additional show in Kanagawa on April 11. They are expected to meet fans in Osaka at Asu Arena on April 3 and 4, and at K Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa on April 11, 12, and 13, as well as at Fukuoka International Center on April 19 and 20. They are also expected to set various records, including gathering 100,000 attendees, the shortest for a K-pop girl group on a Japan tour.
Afterward, they will move on to meet Asian fans in Singapore, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei. In the second half of the year, they will hold their second North American tour in Toronto, Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle.
