Actor Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, filed an additional complaint against Gaseyeon for threatening to disclose Kim's private photos.
On the 24th, Gold Medalist's legal representative, the law firm Yuhan LKB & Partners, issued an official statement, saying, "Gold Medalist, as the agency responsible for managing actor Kim Soo-hyun, has filed an additional complaint against Kim Se-hee, the operator of the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (hereafter 'Gaseyeon'), for the criminal charge of threatening."
Earlier, Gold Medalist had reported Gaseyeon for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, etc. (distribution of filming materials using cameras, etc.) for posting photos of Kim Soo-hyun's private moments during a live broadcast on the 20th.
However, "Gaseyeon reposted the photos on its YouTube channel during a live broadcast around the 21st, the day after Gold Medalist filed a complaint against it," adding, "Gaseyeon's behavior is another criminal act that disregards the law and investigative agencies, which is unimaginable."
"Through the live broadcasts on the 21st and 22nd, Gaseyeon threatened actor Kim Soo-hyun by stating that if Disney+ does not cancel the release of the original drama 'Knock-Off,' they would disclose footage of the actor. Furthermore, Gaseyeon repeatedly mentioned 'N-room' during the live broadcasts, suggesting that actor Kim Soo-hyun had committed crimes similar to those associated with 'N-room' and that there exists footage of these acts," it reported.
It also stated, "Gaseyeon's claims, like many of its previous claims, are completely false, and the video Gaseyeon claims exists obviously does not exist. Given Gaseyeon's actions, which are grave criminal behaviors that cannot be overlooked, Gold Medalist has taken swift additional reporting measures in response."
Meanwhile, Gaseyeon has claimed based on reports from the family of the late Kim Sae-ron that Kim had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for six years starting when she was 15. It also reported that it pressured Gold Medalist for repayment of 700 million won related to penalties from a drunk driving accident by sending two cease and desist letters. Gold Medalist rebutted, stating that while it was true that Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun dated, it was only from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020 when she was an adult, and the cease and desist letters were part of legal procedures to cover the losses from Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving incident, not actual demands for repayment.
Below is the full statement from Gold Medalist.
1. Gold Medalist has filed an additional complaint against Kim Se-hee, the operator of the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (hereafter "Gaseyeon"), for the criminal charge of threatening, as the agency responsible for managing actor Kim Soo-hyun.
2. As is well known, Gold Medalist reported Gaseyeon for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, etc., on Mar. 20, 2025, for posting photos of actor Kim Soo-hyun's private moments during its live broadcast. However, Gaseyeon reposted those photos on its live broadcast on around Mar. 21, 2025, the day after Gold Medalist filed the complaint against it. This behavior by Gaseyeon is another criminal act and shows utter disregard for the law and investigative authorities, which is truly unimaginable.
3. Furthermore, Gaseyeon threatened actor Kim Soo-hyun by mentioning the Disney+ original drama "Knock-Off" in its live broadcasts on Mar. 21 and Mar. 22, stating that if Disney+ does not cancel the release of "Knock-Off," it would disclose footage of the actor. Moreover, during the live broadcasts, Gaseyeon repeatedly mentioned "N-room," implying that actor Kim Soo-hyun committed crimes similar to those linked to "N-room" and that there was footage of such acts. Gaseyeon's claims, just like many previous assertions, are entirely unfounded, and the video Gaseyeon claims exists obviously does not exist. Given Gaseyeon's actions of this nature, which are serious criminal offenses that cannot be tolerated, Gold Medalist promptly filed additional complaints.
