DRIPPIN leader Hwang Yun-sung will fulfill his military service as an active duty soldier.
Hwang Yun-sung will enter the Army Training Center in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, on the afternoon of the 24th. After completing roughly five weeks of basic military training and receiving his assignment, he is expected to carry out his defense duties as an active duty soldier.
Hwang Yun-sung has become the first among the DRIPPIN members to enlist in the military. After previously announcing his enlistment news, he moved many by publicly sharing a heartfelt handwritten letter to his fans.
On the day before entering the Army Training Center, Hwang Yun-sung expressed through his agency, Woollim Entertainment, "I think this is an opportunity to grow even more wonderfully. I will do my best to fulfill my defense duties and return as a more developed and cooler version of myself."
He added a heartfelt thank you message to his fans, saying, "I hope all the Dreaming (official fan club name of DRIPPIN) members stay healthy and happy. I am always grateful and love you. Please continue to support the members."
