The group TWS (Tourus) will return next month with a new album. This is their comeback after about 5 months, having topped the Melon 2024 annual chart with 'First Meeting Did Not Go as Planned' and swept the rookie awards at major ceremonies.
The agency Pledis Entertainment stated on the 24th, "TWS (Shin Yu, Do Hoon, Young Jae, Hanjin Logistics, Ji Hoon, Kyung Min) will release their mini album 'TRY WITH US' on April 21 at 6 p.m."
TWS's 'The Hottest Twenty' has been announced. The album title 'TRY WITH US' carries the meaning of "let's try together things we have never done so far." Expectations are high for TWS's twenty-year-old sentiment, which sang about pure excitement and thrill during their school days.
On the same day, TWS released a logo motion video for 'TRY WITH US' on HYBE Labels' official YouTube channel. The video showcases familiar places where TWS has sweated and played in their previous work, such as gymnasiums, basketball courts, and auditoriums. Memories of their school days spent there are recorded on film and sent off in a rocket symbolizing the mini album. Following this, serene landscapes like clear skies, seaside bicycles, and schools transition into intense images such as fiery skateboards and colorful fireworks, hinting at the new changes to be greeted in the upcoming release.
TWS, who debuted last year, generated public acclaim with their unique genre 'Boyhood Pop' that evokes beautiful sentiments in everyday life. Their mini album's title track 'First Meeting Did Not Go as Planned' reached number one on the 2024 Melon annual chart, marking the first time a debut song has topped this chart since 2010, a span of 14 years. Songs they released in succession, such as 'If I Am S, You Become My N' and 'The Last Festival,' have also continued to receive love, establishing TWS as the 'Best New Artist of 2024.'
