The members of the group NewJeans, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and HAEIN, announced legal action against online trolls.
On the 24th, the law firm Sejong stated, "Currently, the dissemination of false facts and malicious defamation regarding clients, including minors, has reached a serious level."
They continued, "We are constantly monitoring all online communities and social media platforms, including Theku, Instiz, Blind, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, DC Inside, Fm Korea (Femco), and Daum Cafe. We are cooperating with relevant authorities to identify authors of posts and comments that abuse anonymity, and we plan to take all possible civil and criminal actions against acts such as the dissemination of false facts, defamation, and insults."
Meanwhile, according to the legal community, the five members of NewJeans submitted an objection to the provisional injunction on the 21st, when the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 50 (Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon) issued a decision to grant the provisional injunction. The court had previously accepted ADOR's application for a provisional injunction against NewJeans to prevent 'the preservation of agency status and conclusion of advertising contracts' and made a decision to fully grant it.
