The family of actress Kim Sae-ron has again released a statement regarding the legal response of YouTuber A, who was reported for defamation. As A referred to 'the aunt' mentioned by the Kim Sae-ron side as 'the fake aunt,' Kim Sae-ron's mother countered that 'I have been authorized to handle all external communications of the bereaved family and have been doing so legitimately.'

On the 21st, the late actress's mother released a new statement regarding the lawsuit declaration by YouTuber A through the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' (hereinafter 'Gaseyeon') and spoke out about 'the fake aunt.'

Earlier on the 20th, YouTuber A announced through their channel that they would sue A, who claimed to be Kim Sae-ron's aunt; Kim Se-hee from 'Garosero Research Institute'; comedian Kwon Young-chan; and the bereaved family's legal representative, lawyer Bu Ji-seok.

A said, 'This is not targeting the bereaved family. We are proceeding against the individual who claims to be Kim Sae-ron's fake aunt. The person who has most actively spread false information about me is exactly Kim Sae-ron's 'fake aunt.'

In particular, A stated regarding the claim that Kim Sae-ron made an extreme choice after watching a video posted by A on January 8, 'Kim Sae-ron was with her husband in New York at that time,' adding, 'I plan to take strong legal action against Kim Se-hee, Kwon Young-chan, and lawyer Bu Ji-seok, who said I received a fortune-telling to harass Kim Sae-ron and filmed a video about it.'

In response, Kim Sae-ron's mother said, 'A claims, “I sue Kim Sae-ron's fake aunt.” A, we don't have such a person. We have not caused any harm. That person is simply 'Sae-ron's aunt.'

'What is the problem with real aunt or fake aunt? When Ron was about 6 years old, she met the mother of another child actor, while doing child acting, and we helped each other by alternating between family chores and managing work. My children and I think of her and rely on her as if she were a real aunt, and we have been together for nearly 20 years,' she revealed.

Kim Sae-ron's mother said, 'I am also a person to my sister's children who is like a real aunt. When I'm sick, she comes running first, putting everything aside, and when I'm in trouble, she stays up all night listening to me. Sometimes we argue when we disagree, and she listens to the things that my children can't bring themselves to say to me as a friend or sister. She takes care of my kids' meals instead of me, isn't that family?'

'What more do I need to do to become a real aunt? Is there another condition required to be a real aunt? The person who has been with me for more than a month since the day Ron left this world and has not stopped doing what she's been doing, what else could that be if not an aunt?' she asked.

Kim Sae-ron's mother stated, 'The fake aunt referred to by A is the same person for us as a real aunt, and I clarify that I have been legitimately authorized to handle all external communications for our bereaved family. Please stop actions that obscure the essence,' and demanded an apology from A.

Meanwhile, the family of the late Kim Sae-ron claimed through the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' (abbreviated as 'Gaseyeon') that Kim Sae-ron had been in a relationship with the deceased for six years since the age of 15 and that after the deceased was involved in a drunk driving accident in 2022, she faced financial difficulties despite being pressured to repay 700 million won borrowed for accident recovery.

In relation to this, Gold Medalist, the agency of Kim Soo-hyun, said, 'It is an undeniable falsehood that cannot be accepted,' and noted, 'We plan to review the strongest legal response we can take against the falsehoods being spread by Garosero Research Institute.' However, amid the ongoing revelations, the agency changed its statement to acknowledge that 'Kim Sae-ron dated the deceased from the summer of 2019, when she became an adult, until the fall of 2020.'

However, regarding the demand for repayment of 700 million won, they explained, 'If we impose a penalty fee that Kim Sae-ron should bear, it could constitute a breach of trust for the executives who decided this, and there were concerns that the associated costs might not be recognized as company expenses. It needed to be confirmed that we were making efforts to secure our claim against Kim Sae-ron.'
