Three works, including dramas and entertainment content from CJ ENM, have been nominated for the Banff Rockie Awards, one of the world's top three broadcasting awards. The drama "Jeongnyeoni," produced by Studio Dragon, the Tving original series "LTNS," and tvN's entertainment program "Outside the Tent is Europe" have all been nominated, further emphasizing its significance as the highest number of nominations among Asian content corporations.
First, the drama "Jeongnyeoni" (directed by Jeong Ji-in and written by Choi Hyo-bi), which is the first to cover "women's national drama" and received acclaim from media outlets as "a must-see work this fall," has made the list in the "Limited Series" sector. Additionally, "LTNS" (written and directed by Lim Dae-hyung and Jeon Go-un), which has garnered attention for its thrilling fun and bold, realistic storytelling across various genres such as thriller, melodrama, and comedy, has been nominated in the "Comedy Series: Non-English Language" sector. Lastly, the entertainment program "Outside the Tent is Europe: Southern France Edition," which began in 2022, represents tvN as a mega IP and has received steady love as a healing content, advancing to the "Lifestyle" sector. CJ ENM's dramas and entertainment have proven their competitiveness in the global market.
The Banff Rockie Awards is an award ceremony that selects the most outstanding and innovative programs worldwide and is considered one of the top three broadcasting awards alongside the American Emmy Awards and the Monaco Monte-Carlo TV Festival. The ceremony focuses on international co-production and innovative global content, recognizing TV programs from various countries and cultures. With over 40 years of history, about 1,500 works from more than 40 countries compete in 30 categories, and it is recognized as an award ceremony that selects the most forward-thinking and boundary-pushing content. This year's event will take place on June 9.
CJ ENM's Deputy Minister Seo Jang-ho commented, "I am very pleased that CJ ENM's content has received recognition at the Banff Rockie Awards, one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the global content field," and added, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that our stories transcend cultural and geographical barriers to reach viewers all over the world."
