Stray Kids will present the digital single 'Mixtape: dominATE' at 1 p.m. (midnight Eastern Standard Time) on the 21st. To mark their 7th anniversary on the 25th, Stray Kids is adding significance by officially announcing it four days ahead of the special day as a surprise gift for their fans.
This digital single is the fifth work in the 'Mixtape Project,' which has been ongoing since 2019, following 'Mixtape: Gone Days' in December 2019, 'Mixtape: 바보라도 알아' in March 2020, 'Mixtape: 애' in June 2021, and 'Mixtape: Time Out' in August 2022.
Over the years, Stray Kids has sung various stories in their unique style and sensibility through this project. Led by the producing team 3RACHA, consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, every member participates in the songwriting, showcasing their originality and earning positive feedback for their uniquely crafted music. The new digital single from the 'Mixtape Project,' released after a long time, is expected to reveal a different aspect of them.
The new album includes the title track 'GIANT (Korean Ver.),' along with unit tracks featuring unique member combinations: 'Burnin’ Tires (Changbin & I.N),' 'Truman (Han & Felix),' 'ESCAPE (Bang Chan & Hyunjin),' and 'CINEMA (Lee Know & Seungmin),' totaling five songs. The combination that fans (fandom name: STAY) had longed for has generated explosive reactions, and the signature teaser content 'UNVEIL: TRACK' has ranked in the worldwide trending list for music videos.
Through each unit track, Changbin & I.N present a harmonious blend of powerful rap and sweet vocals, while Han & Felix showcase an intense rap style with contrasting vocal ranges. Bang Chan & Hyunjin bring a mature and stylish mood following 'Obsessive (Bang Chan, Hyunjin),' and Lee Know & Seungmin deliver a fantastic synergy as vocalists. Notably, the unit performances will debut during the world tour 'dominATE,' resuming in Santiago on March 27-28 (local time). Stray Kids, who previously excited audiences with solo stages that maximized each of the eight members' musical colors, will now engage fans with unit stages, proving themselves as artists who continue to grow and evolve musically. The 'dominATE' tour, boasting the largest scale ever with 55 performances across 34 regions, will grandly unfold at stadiums in Latin America, North America, Japan, and Europe until the end of July, attracting a total of 2.2 million spectators and potentially setting a record for 'the highest attendance for a single tour in K-pop history.' Stray Kids kick off 2025 with their new digital single 'Mixtape: dominATE,' marking their 7th anniversary in a meaningful way.
