TWICE will release their fifth best album '#TWICE5' in Japan on May 14. The new release is the fifth installment in TWICE's best album series '#TWICE', and it marks their first local best album in about 3 years and 2 months since the release of '#TWICE4' in March 2022. This album includes Japanese versions of several hit songs like 'Talk that Talk', 'SET ME FREE', and 'ONE SPARK', which have been greatly loved by global K-pop listeners, garnering enthusiastic responses from local fans.
At midnight on the 21st, the new album's group concept photo was revealed for the first time on the official Japanese SNS channel. In the photo, TWICE presents a bright and fresh atmosphere with styling featuring vibrant orange color points. The leisurely and refreshing smiles of the nine members, as if enjoying a midday picnic on a lawn, convey a pleasant energy and heighten expectations for the new release.
Since their official debut in Japan in June 2017, TWICE has established a strong presence with significant achievements, including dominating major music and album charts and winning numerous awards, culminating in the release of their 5th studio album 'DIVE' in July 2024. In particular, during their fifth world tour 'TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE'', they drew hundreds of thousands of spectators at local mega venues such as Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai, Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium, and Kanagawa's Nissan Stadium, becoming the first overseas female artist to perform there.
This year, they will continue to meet audiences on various stages both domestically and internationally, maintaining their status as a 'global top-tier girl group'. They are set to take the stage as a special guest at British band Coldplay's concert 'Coldplay [Music Of The Spheres World Tour]' in Goyang, South Korea, scheduled for April, and will headline a major music festival, 'Lollapalooza Chicago', at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, on August 2, local time. At 'Lollapalooza Chicago', TWICE's name is proudly listed among the headliner lineup alongside renowned international artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Luke Combs, and A Rocky, reaffirming their formidable influence as a group.
