The behind-the-scenes story of how G-Dragon and Karina of the group Aespa met has been revealed.
On the 19th, G-Dragon's official YouTube channel posted a video titled "TOO BAD (feat. Anderson .Paak) MV behind the scenes."
The released video shows G-Dragon discussing the production of the 'Too Bad' music video with the performance director and the production staff.
During the meeting, the production staff expressed their concerns about casting the female lead, saying, "The bridge part should feature a female lead who conveys a sense of well-being."
In response, G-Dragon said, "(I) don’t know who to use. Since it’s a dance with a girl, there must be a girl," but he also noted, "In my opinion, there’s no one but Karina" and directly recommended Karina.
After successfully casting Karina, scenes of the first meeting between her and G-Dragon on set were also released. Despite the short time, the two showcased perfect synergy. G-Dragon demonstrated the moves for Karina and advised, "You can pose in multiple ways."
Later, G-Dragon expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you so much for granting your appearance, even though Karina might be busy." He added, "Personally, I’m a fan too, and I hope the Aespa fans see it beautifully and enjoyably."
