The movie 'Opposition' heightens expectations with the casting of leading Korean actors such as Kang Ha-neul, Yoo Hae-jin, and Park Hae-joon.

On the 20th, the production team for the film 'Opposition' (directed by Hwang Byung-kook, provided/distributed by Plus M Entertainment, produced by HYBE Media Corp.) revealed the casting behind the scenes.

'Opposition' is a crime action film that unfolds the intertwined stories of a broker 'Opposition', who designs the drug scene in South Korea, a 'prosecutor' aiming for a higher position, and a 'detective' who has staked everything to eradicate drug crimes.

Regarding Kang Ha-neul, who takes on the role of the drug broker 'Opposition', the director Hwang Byung-kook noted, "I thought he was an actor who could showcase a good image, humor, and a dark inner self," revealing the casting behind the scenes. He shared that Kang Ha-neul perfectly embodied the character of Lee Kang-soo, who possesses diverse charms.

About Yoo Hae-jin, who plays the role of Gu Kwan-hee, suggesting 'Opposition' to Lee Kang-soo, the director remarked, "He is an actor who has the ability to transform an ordinary character into an extraordinary one," praising his acting skills for breathing life into the role and adding his own color. He also expressed his expectations and satisfaction in casting Park Hae-joon for the role of detective Oh Sang-jae, stating, "I met him during the filming of 'Spring in Seoul', and I had a feeling that he would do well in the role of Oh Sang-jae. He has an excellent sense not only in acting but also in directing movements.

Additionally, the director Hwang Byung-kook heightened curiosity about the character of Ryu Kyung-soo, who will again showcase intense acting as an unchecked villain wielding overwhelming power, revealing the casting behind the scenes saying, "I gave him a passage from Jean-Jacques Rousseau's book 'Emile' in a handwritten letter. The universal emotion that humans have towards each other is compassion, and this character, Jo Hoon, is one who lacks this compassion."

Furthermore, he explained the unique reason why Cha Won-bin joined 'Opposition', saying, "We auditioned about 100 people, and among them, Cha Won-bin's performance was the most distinct," filling the role of Um Su-jin, who falls from being a popular actress to obscurity, with a refreshing performance. This completed a glamorous casting lineup that promises explosive acting synergy among the actors in 'Opposition'.
