Actress Oh Na-ra has struggled to the point where there were concerns she might retire. She threw herself into 'Villains Everywhere.'

On the 19th, KBS2's new Wednesday-Thursday sitcom 'Villains Everywhere' (written by Chae Woo and Park Kwang-yeon, directed by Kim Young-jo and Choi Jeong-eun) aired its premiere.

'Villains Everywhere' is a situational comedy drama that captures the sometimes rough yet warm daily lives of K-zumma sisters and their quirky families. It has been noted that actress Oh Na-ra, So Yoo-jin, and Seo Hyun-cheol among others have grants in the show, which has garnered anticipation as a sitcom that is not easily found in homes nowadays.

In the 30-minute show, which airs two episodes in a row, Oh Na-ra played the titular role of 'Oh Na-ra.' She portrays a dictatorial housewife living as if there is no tomorrow, the wife of Seo Hyun-cheol, who possesses an insatiable competitive spirit, and the mother of two siblings. After being loved by viewers through roles in 'Alchemy of Souls,' 'Racket Boys,' 'The Lady in Dignity,' and 'SKY Castle,' Oh Na-ra took on her first sitcom challenge with director Kim Young-jo, with whom she collaborated in 'The Lady in Dignity.'

From the first broadcast, Oh Na-ra's comedic potential exploded. Living as if there is no tomorrow, her character brought tension while also delivering laughter with her unpredictable quirks. She made a notable entrance by appearing on the screen with the phrase 'You take care of yourself' as Seo Hyun-cheol collapsed. Her actions of not closing the bathroom door while attending to business out of frustration and spraying water on her son’s face to wake him up from his late sleep felt far from the typical 'mother' image portrayed in dramas, making it clear she is a 'villain.'

However, she was not just the typical annoying villain. After discovering that an executive blocking her husband's promotion was having an affair, the process of exposing it was refreshing, and her process of admonishing her husband, who harbored resentment as he wanted his own room, and then reconciling with him was lovely. Her portrayal of being drunk and throwing side dishes at her sister while fighting, as well as running through the APT. complex and playground, also provided laughter.

In this process, Oh Na-ra threw herself completely into her role. The pressure to evoke laughter could have made her acting feel forced or her expressions overly exaggerated, which would be burdensome for the viewers. However, Oh Na-ra represented 'villain' Oh Na-ra with subtle acting and effectively managed comedic performances. Despite being her first sitcom, she skillfully led the drama with flexible pacing.

The short runtime of 30 minutes was also a strength that drew viewers to 'Villains Everywhere.' Unlike the previous sitcom 'KICKKICKKICKKICK,' which had a different format, 'Villains Everywhere' maintained a continuous flow of laughter without interruption, successfully concluding its premiere.

In particular, after the premiere of 'Villains Everywhere,' Oh Na-ra left a post on her personal social media account saying, 'Finally, the veil of the drama has been lifted, and I've been receiving a lot of messages about whether this is my retirement work.'

The KBS2 new Wednesday-Thursday sitcom 'Villains Everywhere,' which is expected to showcase Oh Na-ra's talents and chemistry, airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 p.m.
