The TVING original series ‘Way Back Love,’ Gong Myoung and Kim Min-ha awaken the emotions of a thrilling first love.

The TVING original series ‘Way Back Love’ (produced by CJ ENM and Studio Mondo, provided by TVING), set to be released on April 3, unveiled the timeline of Ram Woo (played by Gong Myoung) and Hee-wan (played by Kim Min-ha) on the 20th. It raises curiosity about the relationship between the two people who meet again after passing through their innocent high school days.

‘Way Back Love’ is a youth fantasy romance in which Hee-wan, who has turned away from the world and let go of her youth, encounters her first love, Ram Woo, who appears as a grim reaper. Based on the warm-hearted novel of the same name (written by Seo Eun-chae), it depicts the story of a sparkling week where the thrilling past and changed present intersect. It has been attracting significant interest even before its official release after being invited to the ‘On Screen’ section of the Busan International Film Festival last year.

In the recently released photos, captured are the heart-pounding moments between Ram Woo and Hee-wan. The moment of their eye contact, where the feelings of first love bloom, seems to resonate with the sound of their hearts beating as they get closer. The two are also seen from behind, looking at a drawing they made together. The bittersweet distance of nearly touching evokes a fresh sense of excitement. In the following photos, Ram Woo and Hee-wan, who meet again after some time, exhibit a contrasting thrill from their past. Hee-wan gently touches her cheek, seemingly unable to believe Ram Woo’s existence as a grim reaper. The curiosity about the week that awaits the two of them is piqued.

In the previously released main trailer, after a prank about ‘changing names,’ the narrative of Ram Woo and Hee-wan intertwining fatefully heightened curiosity. As Ram Woo unexpectedly appears before Hee-wan again, her time, which had been halted in the past, starts moving again. Gong Myoung and Kim Min-ha attract attention with their detailed portrayal of character changes over six years. Above all, they vividly awaken the dazzling emotions of first love, amplifying the excitement. Anticipation is also building for the chemistry between the two, who will present themselves in a variety of ways, from their innocent school days to their youthful time.

Gong Myoung noted, “As Ram Woo and Hee-wan change over time, I would appreciate it if viewers could empathize with their perspectives, each from Ram Woo’s point of view and Hee-wan’s point of view” regarding the focal points to watch in ‘Way Back Love.’ Kim Min-ha also stated, “I focused on Hee-wan’s journey of realization and understanding as time goes by, from high school to the reunion with Ram Woo. Please look forward to the thrilling first love story of Hee-wan, a super extroverted character who can hardly cope, and Ram Woo, a shy and introverted character.”

Meanwhile, the TVING original series ‘Way Back Love’ will premiere its first and second episodes on April 3 (Thursday) on TVING.
