Rapper Swings has announced his debut as an actor.
On the 19th, during the broadcast of MBC's 'Radio Star', themed as 'No Entry for Managers', rapper Swings hinted at a new transformation as an actor.
Swings mentioned that he has dreamed of being an actor since childhood and has recently been attending an acting academy, where he gained attention for his acting video.
Swings said, "I am attending an acting academy that produced Kang Dong-won, Won Bin, and Kim Min-hee. There are 15 people in the class. I do not take individual lessons," adding, "Memorizing lines is incredibly difficult. I also tend to take a long time to memorize rap lyrics, which is hard for me."
Jung Joon-ho advised after watching Swings' acting video, "Swings must showcase his own acting, which no one else can display, with his unique charm." Kim Guk-jin also mentioned that Swings' acting has a rap tone.
Swings drew attention by saying, "In fact, I get scolded all the time. I'm forty years old, yet I still get scolded and become humble. Acting forces me to study life itself."
Swings mentioned that he is set to debut as an actor this year. He said, "Two opportunities have come in. One might be canceled depending on whether a famous actor is cast," adding, "One confirmed project is the web drama 'Nonexistent Film', directed by Jin Yong-jin. I reached out because I wanted to be part of it."
Swings said, "The first filming will be at the end of March, where I will appear as a used car dealer representative," generating anticipation.
