Actress Moon So-ri talked about her mother, actress Lee Hyang-ran.
On the 19th, in the tvN program 'You Quiz on the Block,' actress Moon So-ri appeared with her mother and rookie actress Lee Hyang-ran.
Lee Hyang-ran stated that she is currently a rookie actress in her fifth year. Moon So-ri noted, "You might think it's easy because your daughter is an actress, but I really haven't been able to help. I just told her to hang in there and supported her," which attracted attention.
Moon So-ri said that while reading the script for the Netflix drama 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' she thought of her mother and shed tears. Moon So-ri shared that in the past, her mother raised the children while working in a toast and street food business, stating, "My mother really risked her life to raise us."
Moon So-ri said, "My mother's name is really beautiful, but it seems it's rarely called. So I saved her contact name as Lee Hyang-ran, but when people see it, they feel it lacks affection. I saved my daughter's name as 'Treasure Jar Honey Pot,'" which elicited laughter.
Moon So-ri talked about the movie 'OA.' She mentioned, "After getting married, I lived with my parents for about 10 years." Lee Hyang-ran said, "When you get married, you have to separate, but my husband invited my son-in-law over and asked how we would manage cooking and laundry while both working, so he suggested we live on the second floor."
Moon So-ri said, "We even lived together with my grandmother, so there were four generations living together. My mother-in-law was quite old but lived just 10 minutes away, and my mother took care of everything."
Yoo Jae-suk remarked, "I bet she cooked all day long." To this, Lee Hyang-ran said, "It really seems like all the time went by while I was setting the table," which made those around them feel sad. Yoo Jae-suk commented, "Her hands are truly wonderful hands that have lived life fiercely and diligently."
Lee Hyang-ran said, "I asked my mother, 'Why was I born with so much work?' and she just smiled." She continued, "I was born as the oldest daughter in a poor family and lived not knowing what I liked or what I was good at."
Moon So-ri noted, "My granddaughter Yeon-du said she has something she wants to do now that she's going to school. When she went to the short film set and found it fun, she started acting and found her vitality. She always loved clothes. When I was in college, I took a lot of my mother's clothes," which drew attention.
