On the 20th, Hyun Joo-yeop promoted his new YouTube channel through his social media, saying, "Hello, this is Hyun Joo-yeop. After a long hiatus, I have returned to the court instead of being the 'Food Boss.'"
He reflected, saying, "Thanks to the restaurant owners and everyone who have continuously worried and supported me during the hiatus, I feel like I was able to muster the courage to return."
He continued, "I am grateful for your constant support and patience, and I will do my best to upload videos that repay that sentiment. The Food Boss is not closing but will take a new maintenance time, so please support the Food Boss a lot! I will come back with good news!"
Meanwhile, a media outlet reported that Hyun Joo-yeop has neglected his duties as the basketball coach at Whimoon High School due to external commitments. Subsequently, 'Real Investigation' also addressed the allegations of Hyun Joo-yeop's dereliction of duty and abuses of power in its broadcast, fueling controversy.
In response, Hyun Joo-yeop's side stated, "We have cooperated sincerely since 'Real Investigation' began their coverage of the allegations against Coach Hyun Joo-yeop. On several occasions, we have collected and provided evidence such as testimonies from related parties and screenshots of messenger conversations that can prove multiple allegations surrounding Coach Hyun Joo-yeop are 'false facts,' and we have answered sincerely." They added, "Nevertheless, 'Real Investigation' aired without fully reflecting our stance, which has only escalated the controversy surrounding Coach Hyun Joo-yeop."
Additionally, they noted, "We have filed a complaint with the Korea Communications Commission regarding the broadcast by MBC's 'Real Investigation' concerning allegations of abuses of power and dereliction of duty against Coach Hyun Joo-yeop and are currently awaiting the results. Although all allegations against Coach Hyun Joo-yeop have yet to be resolved, we will do our best until the day his tarnished reputation is fully restored."
