On April 5, the show musical Again 'Dream High' will open with Sunye (Wonder Girls) and Luna (f(x)), who will play the charismatic character 'Baekhee.' They shared their overwhelming feelings about joining the musical 'Dream High.'
The show musical Again 'Dream High' (organized by Art One Company, producer Kim Eun-ha) depicts the story of protagonists who dreamed of becoming K-pop stars at Kirin High School returning after graduating. After the first ticket release, 'Dream High' quickly rose to 2nd in ticket sales among competitive performances. Ultimately, the first show on the 19th was a sold-out success.
With the enthusiastic interest of the audience, 'Dream High' continues its sold-out streak. Sunye and Luna play 'Baekhee,' who loved the group Jin Guk (Choo Yeon-seong, Jang Dong-woo, Kang Seung-sik, Yoon Seo-bin) for a long time and has now become a teacher at Kirin High School. Stars Sunye and Luna, who have achieved their dreams as idols, expressed their affection for 'Dream High,' saying, "I hope you cherish this time of dreaming." 1. What are your feelings about participating in the show musical 'Dream High'?
Sun: I am grateful and fascinated that I can finally meet this work, which was loved by many as JYPE's first produced drama 'Dream High,' through the musical.
Lu: I am very happy to be able to freely act, dance, and sing with the seniors and colleagues I have worked with. I am really happy these days to be with the 'Dream High' family.
2. What are some unique attractions of the show musical 'Dream High'? If you were to spoil what charm you will showcase, what would it be?
Sun: I think 'Dream High' is the first dance performance musical to incorporate such a diverse range of hip vibes, so I am very excited about it. You will also see various aspects of Baekhee, the teacher at Kirin High School, who sincerely supports students' dreams.
3. Park Kyung-rim, the creative director, is involved in this project. Could you give us a hint about what kind of work it is becoming?
Sun: Kyung-rim's passion for the work 'Dream High' and her sincerity toward her juniors are infused everywhere, energizing everyone to engage more with the production.
4. If you could say something to your character, what would it be?
Sun: I want to tell Teacher Yoon Baekhee, who has walked the path of a leader with sincerity toward her students, that she is a shining star after going through moments of blood, sweat, and tears toward her dreams.
Lu: "Baekhee, you have become such a wonderful teacher. If I had a teacher like you, it would have been a great comfort and strength. Thank you, I love you."
5. What is your favorite number from the production and why?
Sun: 'Starlight.' I hope that like the lyrics of the 'Dream High' musical OST, we continue dreaming without giving up.
6. Is there anyone you particularly want to see the show?
Sun: I hope this becomes a work that can help young people who love dancing and the stage take one step closer to their dreams.
Lu: I hope friends who dream of being idols can join us.
7. A message for the audience who will come to see the performance?
Sun: I hope you spend time dreaming alongside 'Dream High' as we continue to move forward.
Lu: How about holding onto a dream that allows us to keep moving forward together without giving up, even as we grow older? I hope you have a happy time with 'Dream High.'
