The Coupang Play series 'Newtopia,' filled with thrills and fun, has unveiled the highly anticipated trailer and stills for episode 8.
'Newtopia' tells the story of soldier Jaeyoon and his girlfriend Youngjoo rushing toward each other across the zombie-infested city center of Seoul.
In the trailer for episode 8, 'Jaeyoon' (Park Jung-min), who suffered a shocking fall from a gondola, reassures viewers by saying, 'I am alive!' After miraculously surviving, 'Jaeyoon' and his group finally escape from A Tower and reach the surface, but hints of a problem arise regarding the last character, 'Kim Young-man' (Kim Sang-heon), keeping the tension at its peak until the end.
'Youngjoo' (Jisoo), while fleeing from someone, encounters something in the subway and her eyes widen, once again enveloping viewers’ hearts in fear. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman suddenly appears before 'Youngjoo,' adding to the tension about whether she will become 'Youngjoo's new partner or turn into another adversary.
As 'Jaeyoon' runs to 'Youngjoo,' separated from the group to protect a valuable person, anticipation and curiosity about how they will ultimately reunite and the conclusion they will face soars to new heights as the final episode approaches.
The stills released alongside depict 'Jaeyoon' and 'Youngjoo' charging straight toward each other in a scene of success escaping A Tower, amidst unpredictable dangers until the very end. After parting from the group and searching for 'Youngjoo' alone, 'Jaeyoon' enters the High-Speed Bus Terminal Station, fully alert, to finally meet 'Youngjoo,' who is tightly gripping a stun gun and cautiously moving toward him, raising the hopes of all viewers about whether the two can reunite.
With an unpredictable plot, overwhelming thrill, and the unique fun of 'Zomcom,' the Coupang Play series 'Newtopia,' praised for capturing it all, will air its finale this Friday at 8 p.m. on Coupang Play.
