Bruce Willis Celebrates 70th Birthday While Battling Dementia and Aphasia

Bruce Willis, an actor suffering from dementia and aphasia, has been reported to be doing well.

Rumor Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and actress Demi Moore, shared the latest update about her father on the 19th, a day before his 70th birthday.

In February 2023, Bruce Willis's family revealed that he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, just one year after retiring from acting while battling aphasia.

A fan asked Rumor Willis on social media, "Is Dad doing well?" and Rumor Willis replied, "He's doing well. Thank you for asking." She then added, "Actually, tomorrow is Dad's 70th birthday. Please send him big birthday wishes."

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were married from 1987 to 2000 and have three daughters: Rumor, Scout, and Tallulah. In 2009, Bruce Willis married model Emma Heming, and the couple has two daughters, 12-year-old Mabel and 10-year-old Evelyn.

In February, Rumor Willis said in an interview with ITV that, when asked how her father was doing, "The family has come together."

She said, "Dad is doing well. Like many people in California, what we all fear the most is dealing with fires and making sure everything is okay," and noted, "Our family is very close, so I think the way we come together is really beautiful. It’s really lovely," expressing her affection for her family.

Rumor Willis expressed gratitude for the relationship between Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, who still get along well like family even after their divorce of 13 years.

She explained, "What I am most grateful for is that even when they separated, they created a beautiful foundation that prioritized my sisters and me. I never felt like I had to choose or like someone would have to be my favorite, and they never competed with each other. We were a family, and no matter what, we are still a family," discussing the strong family affection felt in a blended family. Demi Moore and Emma Heming are also known to get along well like best friends.
