J-Hope of the group BTS has broken into the U.S. Billboard main song chart, the 'Hot 100,' with a solo track.
According to the latest chart released by the U.S. music media Billboard on the 18th (dated March 22), J-Hope's digital single 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)' debuted at No. 66 on the 'Hot 100.' With this, J-Hope achieved the remarkable feat of having a total of six songs on the Billboard main song chart as a solo artist.
In addition, J-Hope topped the 'Digital Song Sales' chart, setting a new record for the chart itself. 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)' secured high placements at No. 12 on the 'Global (excluding U.S.)' and No. 16 on the 'Global 200.'
J-Hope has consistently appeared on the 'Hot 100' since debuting with 'Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)' at No. 81 in 2019. He later entered the chart with 'MORE' (No. 82) and 'Arson' (No. 96) from his first solo album 'Jack In The Box' in 2022, as well as the solo single 'on the street (with J. Cole)' (No. 60) in 2023. Notably, after releasing the featuring track 'LV Bag (feat. j-hope of BTS & Pharrell Williams)' (No. 83) in February, he demonstrated his strong presence by charting two songs on the 'Hot 100' this year with 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel).'
The solo works of BTS members are well-loved on the Billboard charts. Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE' title track 'Who' entered the 'Hot 100' at No. 29, logging a total of 33 weeks on the chart, setting a new record for the longest chart run by a K-pop artist. As a result, 'Who' re-entered the 'Digital Song Sales' chart at No. 14 and maintained its ranking at No. 25 on the 'Global 200' and No. 30 on the 'Global (excluding U.S.).' 'MUSE' is also continuing its record-breaking run on the album chart, staying for 34 consecutive weeks at No. 134 on the 'Billboard 200' and No. 1 on the 'World Albums,' breaking the longest chart-in record each week.
Jungkook's first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' has maintained its rankings at No. 74 on 'Global (excluding U.S.)' and No. 126 on 'Global 200' for 87 and 86 weeks, respectively. Jin's solo album 'Happy,' released in November last year, continues to be a long-term hit at No. 25 on 'World Albums' for 17 weeks. The group's work, the anthology album 'Proof' (No. 6), has ranked on the chart for a total of 144 weeks, showcasing BTS's enduring presence.
J-Hope will release a new song titled 'MONA LISA' on the 21st at 1 p.m. This song, in which J-Hope participated in the composition, is a hip-hop R&B genre that playfully compares a charming counterpart to the masterpiece 'Monalisa,' offering a different appeal from the dreamy and sweet atmosphere of 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel).'
