Actress Oh Yeon-soo took direct action for her two sons studying in the United States.
On the 18th, a video titled "Pickling young radish / Now the real freedom begins ㅠ" was posted on her YouTube channel 'Oh Yeon-soo'.
In the released video, Oh Yeon-soo, who visited the U.S. for her two sons, headed to a Korean market. She explained, "I am going to Korea the day after tomorrow, so I plan to freeze pickles and meat patties that go well with bread for the kids to eat. They can be stored for a long time."
After finishing shopping at the mart, Oh Yeon-soo noted, "I originally planned to make green onion kimchi, but I heard that green onions for kimchi are not available these days. Since I don't have proper seasoning and pots at home, I plan to cook at a friend's house."
Later, Oh Yeon-soo began serious cooking at her friend's house. She boasted of her skillful handling, saying, "I use young radish instead because it has a better texture than just using regular radish for pickles."
In particular, she expressed her affection for her sons, saying, "My grown-up son, who has already gone to the military, might wonder why I do this for him, but that is my happiness. No matter what anyone says, I can't help it. It makes my heart feel at ease. So, I do it. They are grown up, but I still worry about leaving them behind, and I already feel anxious, but I believe they will be fine. As for my younger son, it seems I still can't help but feel like he is a baby."
She added, "I once said a line in a drama that 'children are another person who comes from my womb.' As the kids grow, that saying resonates with me more. There are limits to raising children based on my desires and thoughts, and at some point, it seems there are limits to when I need to stop that thinking."
The next day, Oh Yeon-soo personally delivered side dishes to her oldest son's house and headed to the airport, saying, "I will come for your graduation ceremony in April, son." She continued, "Although it's freedom, I have obtained a freedom that isn't enjoyable. I am a person who worries a lot about anxiety and concerns, but I really try not to. I try not to feel anxious about the vague worries about the future. My feet don't want to move, but I believe it will be fine when I go to Korea."
Meanwhile, Oh Yeon-soo married actor Son Ji-chang in 1998 and has two sons.
