Comedian Lee Su-ji is under suspicion of mocking actress Han Ga-in and Lee Cheong-a, raising interest in whether she will reveal her feelings. During the Han Ga-in mocking suspicion, she said, 'It's unfortunate there's a misunderstanding,' and attention is on whether she will address the current controversy.
Lee Su-ji uploaded a video titled 'Actress Anna's Rome Vlog, Daily Life, Reading, and Tools' to the channel 'Necalcumani' created with her colleagues in June of last year. In the video, Lee Su-ji transformed into actress Anna and filmed her enjoying a trip to Rome in vlog format.
Lee Su-ji woke up early in the morning, drank a glass of water, and leisurely enjoyed her morning coffee while looking out the window. She said, 'As I have a cup of coffee in the morning, I think about what schedule I should follow today, how to spend today, and the mindset I should have. I start my day meditating and thinking about things related to acting.' She also showed herself reading and washing her face.
However, the video began to receive attention late. One internet user commented, 'It seems like she is speaking with Lee Cheong-a's tension,' and many reacted that Lee Su-ji actually mocked Lee Cheong-a since she liked this video.
This is understandable as Lee Su-ji recently parodied mothers from Gangnam riding their children to private education in character as Jamie Mom on her YouTube channel 'Hot Issue Ji.' She portrayed a mother in luxury padding and bags, commonly referred to as the Gangnam mom uniform, while assisting in her child's private academy riding.
After the video was released, there was a hot response that it depicted a typical mother seen in the Gangnam area, but it also drew suspicion that it was aimed at actress Han Ga-in, who had previously released a video of her own riding for her child. As a result, Han Ga-in permanently deleted her riding video due to the flood of negative comments.
While Han Ga-in deleted her video, Lee Su-ji appeared on KBS Cool FM's 'Oh My Girl Hyojung's Raise the Volume' segment 'Can't Stand It' aired on the 6th, discussing the characters covered in 'Hot Issue Ji.' She noted, 'I put the same effort into every character,' adding, 'When we did the “Daechi Mom” character, I suggested we should remember it as a memory for the upload day, but the response was overwhelming. I feel sorry that it is not flowing as I intended and that there is a burden and misunderstanding.'
This was the first time Lee Su-ji directly clarified her stance on the 'Daechi Mom' parody video. Previously, she was suspected of targeting actress Han Ga-in with the 'Daechi Mom' parody video, and at that time, she avoided answering by saying, 'Please contact my agency or manager.' However, her agency also stated, 'Since that channel is run personally by Lee Su-ji, we do not intervene. If it were something produced within our agency, we would know what was being filmed, but we have no comment as we are in a situation where we know nothing.'
However, she disclosed her position through the radio, and it seemed the controversy was settling down. Yet this time, suspicion arose that she mocked Lee Cheong-a, and Lee Su-ji appeared to have addressed her stance by making the video private. Given that she was previously embroiled in controversy over mocking a specific individual, it appears she felt burdened by the overwhelming suspicions and chose to make the problematic video private. However, since Lee Su-ji has not directly commented yet, it remains to be seen whether she will address the current Han Ga-in mocking suspicion like before.
