Moon So-ri talked about her mother, Lee Hyang-ran.
On the broadcast of tvN 'You Quiz on the Block' on the 19th, actress Moon So-ri appeared alongside her mother, Lee Hyang-ran, who started a new life as a new actress.
Moon So-ri said, "Mom said it was fun after shooting an independent film. I thought she would only do it once, but she is searching for auditions on her own and going to auditions." She continued, "Everyone might think it's easy to start since their daughter is an actress. However, neither my husband nor I have been involved at all. I just supported her a little and encouraged her, saying, 'Hang in there.'"
Moon So-ri generated laughter by saying, "Our family is somewhat going our separate ways." She talked about the Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' which is attracting attention. When asked if she receives a lot of congratulatory calls, she humorously replied, "IU will receive them."
Moon So-ri said, "O Ae-sun was born in 1951. But my mom was born in 1952. I thought a lot about my mom. She had many dreams as a young girl from the island, but she got married early and dedicated her life to raising children while never losing her dreams. As soon as I saw the script, I cried."
Moon So-ri noted that her mother, Lee Hyang-ran, raised her children while running a food cart in the past. Moon So-ri said, "Mom really put her life on the line to raise us." Lee Hyang-ran added, "These are words spoken by my mother. That statement truly comforted me, as I felt my mom recognized me."
Moon So-ri said, "Since elementary school, my mom made me lunch, but I had a small appetite. My mom didn’t pay much attention to my younger brother’s lunch, but she always packed different side dishes and fruits for me."
Lee Hyang-ran said, "I was weak. I thought it was partly my fault. I wish I could have given birth to a stronger child." Moon So-ri mentioned, "I like foods that require a lot of preparation. Vegetable side dishes, fish, things like that."
