Member Jennie (JENNIE) of the group Blackpink has set another record on the Billboard 'HOT 100' chart.
According to the latest chart published by the American music media Billboard (dated March 22), Jennie's first solo studio album 'Ruby' entered at No. 7 on the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200,' while the title track 'like JENNIE' debuted at No. 83 on the Billboard main singles chart 'HOT 100.'
In addition, Jennie ranked No. 80 on the 'HOT 100' chart with the track 'Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa),' and 'ExtraL (feat. Doechii)' re-entered at No. 99.
With this, Jennie became the first K-pop female solo artist to have three songs chart simultaneously on the Billboard 'HOT 100,' achieving the impressive feat of placing a total of five songs from 'Ruby'—'like JENNIE,' 'Mantra,' 'Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike),' 'ExtraL (feat. Doechii),' and 'Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)'—on the 'HOT 100,' making her the K-pop female solo artist with the most songs on the chart (including a collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily Rose Depp titled 'One Of The Girls,' totaling six songs).
Additionally, Jennie demonstrated her outstanding presence by sweeping various charts, ranking No. 3 on the Billboard 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' chart and No. 5 on the 'Global 200' chart with the title track 'like JENNIE,' enhancing her global status.
Jennie broke records with 'Ruby' for the first time and set new highs. Previously, she recorded the highest initial sales figure (661,130 copies) among K-pop female solo artists this year with 'Ruby,' and entered the UK Official Album Chart at No. 3, marking the best record for a K-pop female solo artist.
