Singer Lee Yeo-jun, Ahn Ye-eun, and Yuk Da-bin, the vocalist of Yuk Da-bin Band, are challenging a busking journey with a new combination of members never seen before.
The first episode of 'Backpacking Busking 2', which debuts today (18th), features a variety busking journey of three members—Lee Yeo-jun, Ahn Ye-eun, and Yuk Da-bin (of Yuk Da-bin Band)—who each have different ages, tones, and charms. The three members, who have become travel companions, will create memories together through thrilling activities with all members of Group E and I, busking game missions with citizens, romantic busking at a campsite, and a surprise raid at a university entrance ceremony.
'Backpacking Busking 2' will capture the time spent traveling around Yeongjongdo, Ganghwado, and Ansan over three days, where two or three members will randomly encounter citizens and audience members who attended busking performances without prior information about the artists, as well as camping enthusiasts who added romance to the end of winter with the members' songs and students who shared memorable entrance ceremonies with unexpected guests.
Most of all, expectations are rising as to what kind of chemistry these three people, who have never been seen together anywhere before—Lee Yeo-jun, the powerhouse ballad singer called the 'ultimate emotional appeal'; Ahn Ye-eun, the singer-songwriter whose name is synonymous with 'genre'; and Yuk Da-bin, the charming vocalist of Yuk Da-bin Band, considered the top choice for university festival bookings—will showcase.
Meanwhile, the solo songs performed by the three members during the busking will be released on music sites. Yuk Da-bin (of Yuk Da-bin Band) leads the way with a remake of the new song 'Someday', which was unveiled on the 16th, garnering a positive reaction. 'Someday' is a new interpretation of the representative song of the lyrical poet of Korean popular music, Lee Sang-eun, with Yuk Da-bin's charming voice. Yuk Da-bin expresses the speaker's earnest feelings of longing to meet again someday while reminiscing about young love with delicate sensitivity and a poignant voice.
Next, Lee Yeo-jun, known as the 'textbook of vocals', will present the new song 'Your Empty Seat' at 6 p.m. on the 23rd. This time, Lee Yeo-jun returns not with a heart-wrenching ballad but with a medium-tempo song that highlights the harmony of magnificent string melodies and rhythmic guitar sounds. True to his title of 'flawless vocalist', Lee Yeo-jun impeccably encapsulates even different genres in his unique style, delicately conveying the speaker's feelings of loss and yearning after separation.
The final artist, Ahn Ye-eun, who possesses a 'distinct vocal tone', will release the remake of the new song 'The Pierrot Smiles at Us' at 6 p.m. on the 30th. This song, presented with Ahn Ye-eun's unique style, reinterprets the representative song of the original diva Kim Wan-sun, adding to the expectations as Ahn Ye-eun also participated in arranging it lovingly, transforming it into a customized piece with a traditional Korean music flair that suits her.
The 'Backpacking Busking' series is an original content from Donuts Culture, a music and content production company that has presented series like SBS music entertainment 'The Listen' and 'Music Travel: Playlist'. Previously, 'Backpacking Busking' Season 1 received much love through the busking journey of the duo 'Diginsung', named after the activity names and names of longtime best friends Monday Kiz and DK.
