'Questions by Son Seok-hee' returns to live broadcast once again ahead of the Constitutional Court's impeachment decision.
Today (18th), MBC's 'Questions by Son Seok-hee (abbreviated as Questions)' will be broadcast live. The topic is 'Korean society on the brink of the Constitutional Court's decision.'
With protests occurring daily in front of the court, and demonstrations for and against impeachment happening in the city every weekend, what decision is the court preparing to make? Are people ready to accept that decision?
How should the unexpected release of the president be perceived? Also, how will the landscape of the early presidential election, which will start upon the impeachment decision, unfold? There are many topics that 'Questions' needs to cover.
This live broadcast will feature the same four individuals who participated in the previous real-time discussion during the closing arguments: writer Yoo Si-min, Kim Hee-won, Deputy Minister of Korea Daily News Standard, lawyer Geum Tae-seop, and political reporter Heo Min of Cultural Daily.
This also signifies a connection to the previous discussion, but it is partly due to the evaluation that the previous discussion was highly exemplary. In reality, it represents a combination of progressives, centrists, and conservatives, as well as critics, legal professionals, and journalists.
The host, Son Seok-hee (currently a visiting professor at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto), noted, "As the Constitutional Court's decision seems imminent, this will be a space for concern regarding the impeachment issue in Korean society." He added, "This 'Questions' session should also be an opportunity for viewers to organize their thoughts ahead of the court's decision." The broadcast will air at 9 p.m.
