The group Stray Kids won the 'K-pop Album of the Year' award at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Stray Kids was named the winner of the 'K-pop Album of the Year' award for their mini-album 'ATE' at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, United States, on the 17th (local time). Stray Kids, who lifted the trophy in the same institutional sector last year with their 3rd full album '★★★★★ (5-STAR)', has achieved the honor of winning for two consecutive years, enhancing their reputation as a global top artist.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards is a music awards ceremony hosted by the largest online radio broadcaster in the United States, iHeartRadio, since 2014. The awards recognize artists and songs that were played the most on the network and application throughout the year.
Released in July 2024, 'ATE' is a work that embodies Stray Kids' grand ambition of 'taking over the music industry.' The album recorded 232,000 album units sold in its first week in the United States, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard main chart, 'Billboard 200,' and Stray Kids made history by becoming the first group in the world to enter five works consecutively at No. 1, starting with their debut album in 2022, 'ODDINARY.' The title track 'Chk Chk Boom' recorded a peak position of No. 49 on the Billboard 'Hot 100', marking its third entry on the chart, which is its highest ranking.
Stray Kids, recently recognized as the award winners for 'Top Global K-pop Artist' at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, as well as for 'Music Video of the Year' and 'Best 3 Albums' at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards, continues to add the iHeartRadio Music Awards trophy and maintain their status as a global trend.
Stray Kids will release their new digital single 'Mixtape: dominATE' on the 21st at 1 p.m. (midnight Eastern Time). This surprise gift for fans comes ahead of their 7th anniversary, and the stages for the included unit tracks will be unveiled for the first time during their world tour resuming in Santiago from March 27 to 28.
