Actress Park Eun-bin returns with a new face.
The upcoming Disney+ original medical thriller "Hyper Knife," set to premiere on March 19, features a fierce confrontation as 'Seo-Ok,' a once-promising genius doctor, reunites with her mentor 'Deok-Hee' who brought her downfall. The series is directed by Kim Jung-hyun, written by Kim Sun-hee, and is produced by Walt Disney Company Korea, CJ ENM Studios, Vlad Studios, and Dongpung Co., Ltd.
Park Eun-bin takes on the role of 'Jung Seo-Ok,' a shadow doctor who fell from grace due to the mentor she admired. 'Seo-Ok' is a genius doctor who is infatuated with the brain and will stop at nothing when it comes to surgery, but after losing her medical license due to her mentor 'Choi Deok-Hee' (Sul KyungGu), she lives as a shadow doctor.
In the meantime, behind-the-scenes footage from Park Eun-bin's "Hyper Knife" poster was released, capturing attention. Park Eun-bin overwhelms the scene with an intense and rugged gaze, which is completely different from 'Seo Mok-Ha,' the character she portrayed in her previous work "Diva of the Deserted Island," who embraced everyone with sunshine-like charm. Her sensitivity, undeterred by blood stains from surgeries, and her remarkable focus on 'Seo-Ok' at the moment the shot is taken reveal a fiery and sharp instinct, raising curiosity about her transformative acting in "Hyper Knife."
Park Eun-bin noted, "I think 'Seo-Ok' is the closest character I have portrayed to my true nature and instincts. I tried to focus on the instinctual aspects of 'Seo-Ok' that sometimes seem uncontrollable," expressing her aim to carefully portray the character's emotional lines with the hope that viewers would understand the complex layers of 'Seo-Ok.' Additionally, she contributed ideas for her hairstyle, brain tattoo, and piercings, enhancing the character's details and reflecting the passage of six years.
"Hyper Knife" has previously garnered much attention just from the news of Park Eun-bin's casting. Having continuously expanded her acting spectrum without confining herself to any limits, she is set to prove herself once again with "Hyper Knife," raising viewers' expectations.
Meanwhile, "Hyper Knife," where viewers can experience Park Eun-bin's unparalleled acting transformation, will be released globally on Disney+ tomorrow, March 19, at 4 p.m.
