Director Bong Joon-ho confessed to his time in jail.

On the 14th, the YouTube channel 'Dalsune Live' uploaded a video titled, "Director, how did you endure it? From the secret involving soccer in the movie to Son Heung-min's pledge during the broadcast, 'fan power explosion,'" featuring Director Bong as a guest.

Noted for being a famous 'soccer enthusiast,' Director Bong suddenly confessed while discussing past World Cups, "I heard about the 1990 World Cup while I was in jail."

He continued, "I violated the laws regarding gatherings and demonstrations. It wasn't a serious crime, but I was briefly in the Yeongdeungpo detention center for about three weeks due to the Assembly and Demonstration Act. Later, I was released on bail and received a suspended sentence."

Director Bong recalled, "What's important is not this. It's that during the precious time of the World Cup, which happens only every four years, I ended up in jail for three weeks."

He added, "I was really frustrated, but the detention center chief was a generous person. He must have been a soccer fan. He played the games over the speaker. Through the speaker that broadcasts in the detention center," he said, "In our first match against Belgium, we lost 2-0. I listened to that on audio," which drew laughter.
