The group ILLIT has proven its global popularity by winning its first award at a music award ceremony in the United States.

ILLIT (YoonA, MinJu, MoKa, WonHee, Iroha) won the 'Best New Artist (K-pop)' award, corresponding to the rookie award, in the '2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards' held in Los Angeles, United States, on the 17th (local time).

The 'iHeartRadio Music Awards' is a music award ceremony hosted by the American online radio broadcaster iHeartRadio since 2014. It selects and awards artists and songs that have been played the most on iHeartRadio stations and the application over the year.

This is the first time ILLIT has received an award at this ceremony, highlighting their status and influence as they have established themselves in the mainstream pop market just one year after their debut.

ILLIT made a global impact with their debut in March last year. Their debut song 'Magnetic' entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (April 20 of last year) and the U.K. Official Singles Top 100 (April 5), setting the record for the fastest entry of a K-pop debut song. The song has been recognized as a global hit, sweeping various overseas charts year-end settlements, along with enduring popularity. Furthermore, both their debut album 'SUPER REAL ME' and mini-album 'I'LL LIKE YOU' made it onto the Billboard 200, with ILLIT being the only K-pop artist who debuted last year to have two albums on the Billboard 200.

Based on these achievements, ILLIT has dominated major domestic and international music award ceremonies. Including the '2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards,' they have collected a total of 13 trophies at ceremonies in countries such as Korea, the United States, and Japan, including seven rookie awards. They are also being nominated for the 'MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA)' and the '2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs),' demonstrating their outstanding presence as the 'fifth generation top girl group.'

Meanwhile, ILLIT recently released the theme song 'Almond Chocolate' for the movie 'I Don't Like You Just Because of Your Face,' gaining popularity in Korea and Japan. The song is performing well on local Japanese charts and is having a synergistic effect on the movie's box office success. The Korean version of the special stage presented in response to fan support has also received a good reaction.
