Actress Won Ji-an graced the cover of the April issue of Cosmopolitan.

From her debut work 'D.P.', actress Won Ji-an captured viewers' attention immediately with her fresh looks and skilled acting. Since then, she has been steadily building her filmography with roles in 'Boy Flight', 'If You Wish Upon Me', and 'Squid Game 2'. Now, the most attention-grabbing actress, Won Ji-an, generated a hot response on set by pulling off a photo shoot themed 'sporty & cool' with expressions and poses rivaling those of professional fashion models. Despite the grueling schedule that continued late into the night, she maintained a bright attitude, reportedly winning the staff over as fans.

After finishing the cover photo shoot, an interview took place. Following the casting news, which garnered much attention, she shared updates about her life since the arrival of spring after 'Squid Game 2'.

"Not long ago, I visited Hallasan for the first time. I thought it would be a nice break before the shooting gets hectic, but I found that there was still a lot of snow as I ascended. I want to describe that scene as an 'ice tree forest,'" she recalled fondly.

When asked how 'Squid Game 2,' which captured immense love worldwide from the casting stage, affected her, she noted, "Even if my role wasn't significant, I think I received a lot of attention just by being part of it. I experienced a sudden increase in followers on social media, which was both amazing and appreciated. If I bring that experience into my daily life, I feel like I have good friends around me. I still keep in touch often with fellow actors Noh Jae-won and Lee Da-wit, who are the same age and with whom I mainly worked."

The interview continued with a discussion about Semmi, who exudes a girl-crush charm by protecting the weak and bravely fighting against the strong. Known for his visuals with short hair, piercings on his nose and lips, and a choker around his neck, he stated, "At first, it felt strange, but I needed tools like piercings and chokers, and short hair so that others could understand what kind of character Semmi is just through his appearance. Thanks to the makeup team for successfully implementing that."

In response to a question about the catharsis felt when playing an attractive character, she said, "Of course, I feel catharsis. It's the same when 'Nam-kyu' (Noh Jae-won) curses and I face him without backing down. Normally, I wouldn’t have been able to fight back, but each time I think, 'I need to be strong like Semmi.'"

Now that it has been more than three years since her debut in 'D.P.', when asked about her current turning point as an actress, Won Ji-an expressed, "I feel grateful just to be able to continue working. So, I think I'll try my best while I can. My mindset regarding acting has changed completely over the three years I've been acting. I used to think acting was something I had to do entirely in front of the camera. But now, it feels like I’m not doing anything at all. Sometimes, I draw strength from the co-actors I work with. It feels like there's only the co-actor in front of me. I don’t think I’m acting; it feels like I am completely immersing myself in that scene."

After Disney Plus's 'North Star' and 'Made in Korea', Won Ji-an is set to showcase a new side of herself again in the drama 'Waiting for Longitude' alongside Park Seo-joon. In 'Waiting for Longitude', she will portray various forms of love, from the innocence of youthful romance to the heartwarming feelings of reuniting after time apart.

"Right now, I'm really studying the script. The director recommended a few movies that would be good to reference before shooting, and I’m hoping to do my own research while watching those films. I think I might be able to show a very different side from what I have done so far. This is the first time I’ll deal with relationships between people in depth, so while I’m excited and nervous, I’ll work hard to make it happen," she expressed, generating anticipation for her next project.

The photo shoot and interview with actress Won Ji-an, who is expected to be active in various projects, will be available in the April issue of Cosmopolitan and on the website.
