A new concept music project where people and AI create together, 'HUMANICS MUSIC' is making its debut.
As AI enters the realm of art and various predictions continue, the 'HUMANICS MUSIC' project launched by the music planning and production company Sonamu Music is expected to explore new creative possibilities through collaboration between humans and AI.
'HUMANICS' is a compound word of 'human' and 'technics,' demonstrating that AI can be used not merely to replace music but as a tool to assist in creation. This project involves singers Lee Dong-eun, Pulip, and Ryu Jin, who completed songs after working with AI.
In the process, AI served the role of providing motifs for composition, while the final completion of the song was the responsibility of the musician creator. When the musician planned the emotion and lyrics of the song, AI generated the initial melody and chord progression, allowing the creator to analyze it, set the direction of the song, and go through arrangement and revisions to ultimately complete it.
Lee Dong-eun, who serves as the executive producer of this project, noted, 'AI is merely a creative tool, and the depth and emotion of the music are completed through the work of the musician, which refines the emotion and message solely through the musician's touch.'
The first album of 'HUMANICS MUSIC,' titled 'The Beginning of Comfort,' features indie artists Jeong Ah-ro, Wi-su, Lee Dong-eun, Chan-ul, Gae-ddong, and Yoo Yeong-woong, comprising a total of seven songs that convey a comforting emotion.
Composed of songs that express various emotions while showcasing a unique musical palette, this project demonstrates a new method of music creation where AI and musicians collaborate. Limited-edition CDs will be provided later through the cultural arts funding community 'Tumblbug' starting March 15. Beginning March 26, the album tracks will be released sequentially, starting with singer-songwriter Jeong Ah-ro's 'It's okay, it's okay.'
The production company Sonamu Music expressed, 'You will experience the possibility of music that evokes new emotions through 'HUMANICS MUSIC,' and the innovative musical experiment completing music together with humans and AI is now left for listeners to directly experience.'
