Actor Oh Chang-seok will meet viewers with a new daily drama.

On the 17th, his agency HB Entertainment announced, "Oh Chang-seok has been cast in the leading role of MBC's new daily drama 'The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun.'"

MBC's new daily drama 'The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun' (written by Seol Kyung-eun and directed by Kim Jin-hyeong) depicts a desperate revenge story of a woman against a conglomerate in the name of her only daughter in a world where the victim has been transformed into the perpetrator.

Oh Chang-seok plays the role of Kim Seon-jae, head of the legal team at the Min-gang Group. With his natural intellect and persistence, he aims for the position of son-in-law in a conglomerate and is a twisted individual who will not hesitate to take any action for success. Oh Chang-seok is expected to perfectly portray the cold and ruthless villain, enhancing the drama's tension and immersion.

Oh Chang-seok has previously showcased his exceptional acting skills in numerous works, including the film 'The House,' and the dramas 'The Witch's Game,' 'The Season of Taeyang,' 'Come! Jang Bo-ri,' and 'Aurora Princess.' In the KBS2 daily drama 'Without Blood or Tears,' which ended last year, he left a deep impression on viewers by perfectly embodying the character of human rights lawyer Baek Seong-yoon and proved his solid acting foundation by winning an excellence award at the '2024 KBS Acting Awards.'

Meanwhile, MBC's new daily drama 'The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun' is set to air as a follow-up to 'Kind-hearted Captain.'
