Sioumin (EXO) and Lee Se-eon clash as rivals in 'Jagangducheon (A contest between two prideful geniuses).'
The new drama 'Heo's Diner' (directed by Oh Hwan-min, Kim Kyung-eun / written by Seong So-hyun), which will be first released on the 24th (Monday), portrays the problematic figure Heo Gyeon from the Joseon Dynasty as he accidentally runs a diner after crossing over to the modern world 400 years later, resulting in a comical, romantic fantasy drama based on the web novel of the same name by Jeon Seon-young.
Today (17th), the production team of 'Heo's Diner' revealed a male couple poster showcasing the chemistry between Heo Gyeon (played by Sioumin) and Lee Hyuk (played by Lee Se-eon), hinting at a special narrative.
In the poster, the two characters stand back to back as if monitoring each other, generating interest. Sioumin, who plays the transcendent genius Heo Gyeon, is seen with crossed arms and a cold expression unlike his usual self, sparking curiosity about what kind of incidents this free-spirited character from Joseon will encounter in modern times.
On the other hand, Lee Se-eon, playing Lee Hyuk, who is Heo Gyeon's friend and colleague, quickly overpowers his opponent's gaze with a fierce look. One can feel Lee Hyuk's determination to go to any length to get what he wants, raising curiosity about his hidden desires.
'The place of rivalry between two genius figures', the phrase 'Jagangducheon Hyewon Matjip' suggests constant clashes between Sioumin and Lee Se-eon, who are set to challenge each other in a culinary competition as the chef of 'Heo's Diner' and a fine dining restaurant, respectively, delighting viewers.
Lee Se-eon, 'the one trying to take away', is a character who is most honest about his desires, viewing Sioumin as a thorn in his side. Meanwhile, Sioumin, 'the one trying to protect', raises interest in whether he can preserve what is valuable amidst his unstoppable momentum, as the storyline leaves the future unpredictable.
It is anticipated that Sioumin and Lee Se-eon will portray two characters with completely opposite personalities, especially since they previously showcased great chemistry in the drama 'Sajangdol Mart'.
Meanwhile, 'Heo's Diner' is co-planned by Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures and Corpus Japan and is set to be first released on the 24th (Monday).
