Actor Sul KyungGu shared the reason for joining 'Hyperknife.'
On the 17th, a production presentation for Disney+'s 'Hyperknife' took place at the Conrad Seoul Hotel. The event was attended by Park EunBin, Sul KyungGu, Yoon ChanYoung, Park ByeongEun, and Director Kim JungHyun.
The Disney+ original series 'Hyperknife' (directed by Kim JungHyun, written by Kim SunHee, provided by The Walt Disney Company Korea, produced by CJ ENM Studios, Vlad Studios, Dongpung Co., Ltd.) depicts a fierce confrontation between 'Jung SeOk' (played by Park EunBin), a once-promising genius doctor, and her mentor 'Choi DeokHee' (played by Sul KyungGu), who brought her down.
On that day, Park EunBin noted, "Since this is a genre and character I have never done before, I felt interested in everything. More than anything, SeOk will go through a process of uncovering each other's true selves with DeokHee. I actually met my senior for the first time, but every scene we shot together was like dopamine," recalling her experience working with Sul KyungGu.
She continued, "I received such good stimulation in every scene and felt great energy. It was an honorable moment to meet my senior as an actress," eliciting warmth.
In response, Sul KyungGu also said, "The biggest reason I decided to take on this project was Park EunBin. I was so curious and excited. I think the reason I am doing this project is because of Park EunBin."
Hearing this, Park EunBin expressed, "You told me a story, but hearing it mentioned again in public makes my eyes well up with tears," showing her emotion.
Then, Park ByeongEun wondered, "Was there none for me (to get cast)?", and Sul KyungGu replied, "Park ByeongEun was cast after me, so I didn't think about that at the time," causing laughter.
