Previously, the late Wheesung was found in a state of cardiac arrest on the afternoon of 10th in an APT. located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. He was 43 years old. Later, on the 17th today, the bereaved family conveyed their intention to donate condolence money. Wheesung's younger brother, Choi Hyuk-seong, noted, "I too have received much comfort from those who said they gained strength in life through my brother's music" and added, "My brother never stopped trying to create beautiful music while maintaining his passion for singing. I sincerely hope that the works of my brother, who was able to see the light of the world through these times, will not be forgotten forever, and the family will look after them."
In particular, the bereaved family stated, "All the condolence money sent during this funeral will be used in places that can create a positive impact on society in the name of singer Wheesung. We will discuss with experts in the relevant fields to find the best sustainable methods going forward," making his final journey even more poignant.
