On Feb. 26, solo singer Gyu-bin, who made a comeback with the first mini-album 'Flowering,' will participate in a tribute album for a Japanese legendary singer, making her the only Korean artist to do so.
On the 17th, Gyu-bin's agency Liveworks Company noted, "Our artist Gyu-bin will take part in the tribute album for 'Nakamori Akina,' who is celebrating her 43rd debut anniversary."
In this Nakamori Akina tribute album project '明響,' in which Gyu-bin is the only Korean artist to participate, a total of 13 artists are involved, including Nakamura Mika, the original singer of 'Yuki no Hana,' Ado, who is gaining explosive popularity in Japan, the prominent R&B duo CHEMISTRY, the renowned female emotional vocalist JUJU, and the legendary R&B figure Suzuki Masayuki.
'Nakamori Akina,' who debuted in 1982, is a legendary singer representing Japan, having won the grand award at the prestigious Japan Record Awards twice in a row as the first female artist, as well as the 1st Gold Disc Grand Prix and the FNS Song Festival Grand Prix consecutively.
Last year, Gyu-bin was the first Korean solo artist invited to the representative year-end festival 'Countdown Japan (CDJ) 24/25,' standing alongside top artists, and she plans to solidify her presence in Japan through her participation in the tribute album for 'Nakamori Akina.'
In addition, as love calls from Japan continue and her debut song 'Really Like You' topped the Billboard Japan 'Heatseekers Songs' chart, the response to Gyu-bin has been enthusiastic, prompting plans for her official debut in Japan this year.
Meanwhile, Gyu-bin, who is continuing her music broadcast activities with the title track 'LIKE U 100' from her first mini-album 'Flowering,' will engage with the public through various platforms in the future.
