The group The Wind expands its refreshing spectrum with "Only One."

The Wind (Kim Hee-soo, Thanatone, Choi Han-bin, Park Ha-yu-chan, Ahn Chan-won, Jang Hyun-jun) shared their comeback feelings and highlights through a Q&A ahead of the release of their second single album "Only One Story" on the 17th.

The Wind, returning with the title track "Only One," expressed confidence, saying, "Since there are many changes that can be called a bold transformation, I want to be active even more quickly. We will definitely show our unique color to many people." They specifically pointed out their expressions that fit the melancholic yet refreshing concept, their matured charm, and strengthened teamwork as areas of growth.

The Wind, which has been driving its career upward with high-quality music and performances, shows a significantly bigger transformation with this "Only One" activity. From styling to shedding their youthful school uniforms for stylish uniforms, they aspire to broaden their unique refreshing spectrum. The members stated, "It would be nice if you could appreciate the process of delivering the song in a cool and relaxed manner. The fast-paced development feels like watching a movie and drama is a highlight."

The Wind's second single, "Only One Story," which brings pleasant healing like a spring breeze, will be released at 6 p.m. through various online music platforms.

Q&A with The Wind members

Q1. This is a new album being released after five months. How do you feel about your first comeback activity of 2025?

(Kim Hee-soo) First of all, I'm so happy that I can see our fans, the Whiz, after five months. While we've gradually shown varied appearances, this album has many changes that can be called a bold transformation, making me want to be active even more quickly.

(Thanatone) Once our single's trailer video, concept, outfits, songs, and choreography were revealed, the fans' reactions were even better than expected. I thought that with the hard work and effort we've put in, we could now clearly show our unique color to many more people, and I'm very excited.

(Park Ha-yu-chan) I'm a bit nervous since it's been a while since our comeback. I'm happy and excited to be starting activities with the spring breeze of the new year!

Q2. The second single "Only One Story" continues the journey after releasing the first single "Ready: Summer Vacation" in 2023, the year you debuted. What did you feel was the biggest growth point in preparing for this activity, and what changes and charms of The Wind do you want to showcase?

(Kim Hee-soo) I believe our stage expressiveness has grown the most. During the previous mini-album's "Hello, My First Love" activity, we made a lot of effort to convey emotions that matched the song and lyrics, and thanks to that effort, I think all the members have improved in stage expressiveness this time as well. The fact that we have returned in stylish uniforms instead of school uniforms, showcasing a matured and refreshing appearance, is the biggest charm of this album.

(Park Ha-yu-chan) For the first time, our members wore uniforms during this activity, and everyone looked good and cool, making me think, "Wow, everyone has grown up...!" I want to show a bit of a cool charm of The Wind this time!

(Jang Hyun-jun) The most significant growth point seems to be in teamwork. The members have become more in sync and their relationships have become stronger. I want to show the more mature The Wind more quickly than before.

Q3. The title track "Only One" is composed entirely of vocal parts without rapping. What special efforts did you make during the preparation process? Introduce the highlights to focus on in the music and music video, and on stage.

(Kim Hee-soo) This song is both melancholic and refreshing in concept, and the song and choreography have matured enough to wear uniforms, so we put in a lot of effort to embody that maturity. The choreography includes fun and interesting structured sequences and pair dances, I think the development makes it feel like watching a movie and drama. If you focus on the music, the occasionally intense and sometimes gentle strings enhance the grandeur of the song, so it would be great to listen attentively.

(Choi Han-bin) Since there is definitely no rap part, we worked hard to ensure the rhythm typically felt in rap could also be felt in the vocals. Our altered styling is a highlight, so please pay close attention.

(Park Ha-yu-chan) This title track is a fast-tempo pop punk song. So, while recording and rehearsing the choreography, we made a lot of efforts to adapt to the fast pace and to perform with ease! Please focus on our relaxed process of delivering the song!

Q4. You filmed teasers with a friendship travel concept in Japan. What aspects did you pay attention to in order to capture the strong friendship and chemistry among members? Please share a memorable episode.

(Thanatone) We tried to act as naturally as possible, like boys going on a school trip, and the times we took pictures having fun with Chan-won using a film camera at the hotel are the most memorable!

(Park Ha-yu-chan) To genuinely portray a friendship travelogue, we acted as though we were really traveling together, and we filmed in a very free atmosphere! I remember filming on the train the most; taking pictures inside a train with people really offered a unique experience.

(Ahn Chan-won) Actually, we proceeded as if we were just having fun, so I don't think we needed to be overly cautious. I believe our chemistry was sufficient on its own. A memorable episode would be when we all enjoyed our time playing together at the beach.

Q5. For The Wind, which marks its third year since debut, what is the unforgettable 'one and only' memory? Please share your aspirations for new experiences with the members.

(Kim Hee-soo) The unforgettable 'one and only' memory has to be our first stage. It was the moment we first showed our songs, our voices, and our dances to the public. My goal is to continue to be loved by many fans and the public with great songs and great performances, and to experience meeting many overseas fans not only domestically but also in various countries for those who love us.

(Thanatone) The moment I debuted as a member of The Wind feels like an unforgettable 'one and only' memory. I would like to go on a world tour with the members and travel along the way.

(Ahn Chan-won) For me, the last showcase was an unforgettable memory. It was a new beginning. It gave me the courage to start over with a new mindset. I want to continue showing good performances to the Whiz along with the members.

(Jang Hyun-jun) The most memorable 'one and only' memory might be our first win. I will work hard so that many Whiz exist all over the world!

Q6. You achieved real-time music chart #1 with the title track "Hello, My First Love" from your last mini-album. What are your goals or expected responses for the title track "Only One" activities?

(Kim Hee-soo) With this title track, I want to imprint the message that "The Wind, which used to seem young and like students, also has this side" to the public, and I'm also looking forward to the quality of our performances, so I hope people pay a lot of attention to the stage as well.

(Thanatone) My goal is for The Wind's unique color and music to become more widely recognized globally!

(Park Ha-yu-chan) I hope that many more people recognize and take interest in The Wind through this activity! We worked hard to show a charming side of ourselves, so I hope you see our growth!

(Kim Hee-soo) We've quietly and diligently prepared for this activity, and I was surprised to suddenly hear the news of our comeback, right?
